Digi doing that last year with broadband 20GB all days for RM85
Tmgo unlimited*  all-day for RM99. No one try download non stop yet.
*
Main customers are still smartphone users. Data-only plans have a smaller subscriber base.

Wondering if anyone knows of a proper procedure to get telco (Celcom) to install indoor antennas at a newly built building especially those by DBKL?

Politicians  rolleyes.gif

Try request from celcom manager how we can request and who we need to speak
*
I've spoke to Celcom but they say I will have to report to DBKL. I doubt DBKL will do anything unless it is reported to the right person/department, so need a little more info if anyone had previous experience.

Thanks, pikachu.

But funny la. The next day after i got the sms from digi stating my porting is in process. I got a call from digi telling they wanna promote a new plan...IE the current digi 80 plan which is quite similar to celcom gold la..but at a discounted price of RMRM75. LOL.

Terus tell them not interested.

Sucks how only when u port, baru they wanna push u their good deals. If not, senyap je and let u pay a lot for a sucky plan.
*
So how's your experience in Celcom's territory so far?

Only for one day but so far its good. Im using a lousy backup phone at the moment, so cant really comment on the 4G speed.
let me move around and see if there's any loss in reception etc. smile.gif

Edit: Through out today, my network keeps switching from H+ to 3G..sometimes Edge... not a constant H+
*
Switching between 3G and H+ is normal on Celcom network, they are using Fast Dormancy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fast_Dormancy

Basically the phone reverts to low power 3G when there's no network activity and then gets back on H+ when there's network activity. The downside is that sometimes you'll feel slow respond as you have to wait for it to switch from 3G to H+.

Sorry for noob question. What is the purpose of credit limit if they advertise unlimited voice calls and sms?

How to determine if we already exceed the credit limit?
*
You can still exceed credit limit from purchasing many data quota topup. Also, there are no free calls to special numbers like 1-300 etc.

You can check on your unbilled amount in their OCS. I believe they will send SMS when you're about to be barred if you're near your credit limit.

FIRST Gold promo at RM80 monthly will end tomorrow. Will Celcom continue to "extend" the promo?

FIRST Gold promo at RM80 monthly extended again until end of June. Seriously, just make it permanent already.

Now I see... Celcom not offering 5GB MaxUp anymore... Their marketing strategy too good I guess.

Since they released FIRST Blue and Gold, they have removed MaxUp 5GB. Even MaxUp 1GB is more expensive at RM20.

MaxUp 5GB still available for the old plans though.

suggest to celcom the first gold 80 should jsut make it permenantly there unless got cheaper plan but same benefit.

3 package is just nice to potential customer, basic, gold, platinum.
*
As of Q1 2016, Celcom now has the smallest subscriber base. Their middle range plan which is the FIRST Gold is doing fine but not enough to capture more subscribers. I think Celcom can refocus on the low commitment plans with a better offer.

I think FIRST Blue at RM45 monthly would kill the competition from the other big two telco at this price range if they were to offer a 3GB + 2GB weekend instead of the current 2+2.

Looks like it is a desperate measure to win back prepaid customers. I believe many have ported out to Digi and Maxis Prepaid after they discontinued unlimited burung hantu.

And, it has been 3 weeks, yet Celcom still cant resolve my problem.

Go to their center and pay for the balance and terminate the service bye.gif  RM65 to buy a lesson, never try with Celcom again. Worth it. Shit company ever.

Looks like Celcom is finally coming out with a family plan to stay in the competition, this is one of the missing puzzle when compared to the rest.

Interesting. I guess they haven't update their website. Mine still shows unlimited calls and sms.
*
Their site already updated. No unlimited/bundled SMS, carry forward is now maximum 2.5GB only, and they emphasized unlimited social apps with WhatsApp and WeChat logo.

So if that's the case, when monthly quota is used up, can no longer access the Internet except for WhatsApp and WeChat, similar to Digi? hmm.gif

Hmm currently i realize that if i make calls, automatically i wont be able to use data, until i terminate the call, not even Edge signal.. is that normal?
*
Nope not normal. If you're on 4G and you receive/make a call, it should automatically fall back to 2G/3G and data can still be used at the same time.

For some areas, even after they sent an SMS to confirm modernization has completed, it seems worse than before.

- 20GB Quota (5GB normal days, 5GB weekends, 10GB 1am to 7am)
- Unlimited Whatsapp and Wechat

1) When all quota is used up, still can continue using at throttled speeds?

2) Any carry forward of unused data?

3) Will it have unlimited calls and SMS?
