noticed that too, i use google maps for abt 50mins, it used up 12% of battery & there is heat at the back of the phone.

listen to music with screen off & 70% of volumn. it used 10% battery.
Is this normal, can mate 8 users here share your experience?

Updated the music apps to latest version but still drain battery.
Good thing is the update can stream online music and free download.

Uncle Benny, did you use gps and listen music on this phone? This phone is not doing well in this 2 apps.
Use google maps for 1 hour used 20% batt & heat at the back. Music with phone's speaker 1 hour 10% batt. Have this issue since b103. B320 still the same problem.

The Mate8 still is one of the Android phone with best battery life. If one is not even happy with it, I cannot recommend any others already. My previous galaxy note 2 used 4% listen to music with screen off.
My frenz have xperia Z5P & tablet, it used only 2%. Maybe bcoz it is entertainment phone.
For battery life, I totally satisfy with this phone but galaxy note 2 still better. Just that it battery drain very fast after upgrade to kitkat, that the reason I decided to bought mate 8.

Unable to see Whatsapp's "databases" folder when connected to laptop. Any software we need to install to transfer data to laptop?

you buy the poweramp or you use crack version? I use trial version & now is expired. But the equalizer & stereo is much better than the built in player.

B320 & B321 version is emui 4.1 but you need to manual update

After phone reboot, all the battery statistics will reset by itself, b320 firmware. Anyone using b321 have this problem?
