I have this old laptop HP Compaq Presario V3500.

Can anyone help me to identify the model of the hard drive please refer to the photo for the image of the connector type ..

I am.confuse with the connector facing upward.. Was there another piece of connector to connect the harddisk to the connector on the picture shown above?

Hello.... Thanks for the reply.

I think I have the hard drive.. But I suspect there could be a missing connector ... That's why I am not able to connect the hard drive to the laptop ...

Do you have any idea that can help me further?

It should be together with the HDD that you removed it from. I used to own a v3840TU (or something like that), and didn't notice until i literally threw it in a box for components to be recycled. Its normally attached to to your HDD, then it slides to fit to the bracket with the aluminium foil on your laptop.
