1hour batt life for my v3010 is normal..damn short nia...sumore when it goes low batt..it goes slowwwwwwww....laggggg....
i adjust my nvidia till 128mb..full screen light when batt use...
playing wifout electric input will definitely have a lagging game...

Between these two newly launch Compaq Presario notebooks, C712TU and V3614AU, which one is more value for money?
Both also selling at RM1999 but come with different specs, and V3614AU seems much better on the paper, is there any known issue?

better get v3614au cause c712tu come with intel pentium dual core 1.46 that is 1 mb l2 cache.some more it doesnt come with bluetooth and 80gb hdd only....u will feel warm on your right hand palm rest....the v3614au casing look nicer and screen size smaller than c712tu

i cant find any essential drivers for V3337TU on hp website?! something wrong there or wat?!

n the unknow normally is QLB=quick launch button ...

fixed the base systems but unknown device still dont know which one is the driver.

the scrollbar of my V3614's touchpad is not working.
I still cannot install the audio, modem, and the ?? base system.

I was having the same issue but then it was solved by technical support from HP thru the phone.

Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Mice and other pointing devices (expand it) -> right click on synoptics touchpad blah blah blah -> uninstall -> restart ur notebook

it works for me. after i restarted my notebook, the scrollzone was functioning. btw i am using XP.

not to sure wede it works for u tho. good luck.

Are you using V3614 as well?
I had a V3222, I had no problem installing drivers and everything works very well.
When I changed to this V3614, i having problem of the incomplete drivers (missing audio, modem, base system device) and also unworking scrollzone.

my laptop model is V3133 which using AMD processor...
I had been used it for around 8months...
in this period I had sent for warranty because of its hardisk failure and cant burn DVD with my burner...

and now.. i encounter da same problem again.. my DVD writer cant burn any DVD now...

do anyone encounter da same problem as me b4??
i really feel like i had bought da wrong brand..

Recently reformatted my v3201TU but i am having problems installing the graphics driver. It's an intel graphics accelerator integrated to the 945gm express chipset... <---- am i right? it might be due to the wrong driver..

neway i get a message saying 'This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for istalling the software. Setup will exit.'

how to change the shared video memory? bios doesnt have the option.

btw guys...please be informed that this V3000 series is designed for VISTA!
that is the reason many of you cannot find the drivers for XP.
I can even see so many cursing and blamming HP for this...
Vista is a totally new platform and I'm sure many are already aware of the incompatibility of the drivers and softwares for XP.
yet again and again i can see people blamming HP/Compaq "sucks" in this forum and many other forums.

Very simple, remember those days when you bought a laptop designed for Windows XP..and you want to install Windows 98 in it and expect everything to work? LOL
not many people can afford a laptop that time anyway...

so for those who cannot get V3000 series laptop to work properly in XP, stop blamming Compaq!
I'm not promoting or trying to defend Compaq...just cannot stand seeing from page 1 people criticizing the laptop without using their brains
