hi,
last year i bought a compaq V3000 (cant remember specific model) it had a amd turion 2.0 Ghz single proccessor with xp home. i upgraded the ram from 256 to 512.
Performance wise, the nb run very well i can run my favourite c&c smoothly, cpu not too hot, boot my xp fast, suit my need (im only used for surfing internet and some simple task).
Cons :- It dont have glossy casing like intel, only 2 usb and no card reader inside (Why hp did that).
I had to sell it to my sister as she went to uni and she wanted comp badly (kene tolong adik beradik maa.. jual murah-murah sudah laa).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
with a tight budget i had to search a new 1. I still want a V3000 series nb (hoping i can get amd turion x2 with original os, glossy casing, more usb and a card reader).
at the end i settle down with V3219TU intel duo core + vista home basic (no money to buy more than 3k nb maa). At 1st I think they have over clocked the cpu since i got 1.73 Ghz. (my amd nb did run at 2.2Ghz if i used it heavily and went back to 800 Mhz if i dont used much). I check the nb bios, yeah it true that the cpu is 1.73 Ghz intel duo core T2250. Lucky me. hehehe
I tried if there are bluetooth in my nb....
... mission failed.. hehehe... I checked at intel webpage for more detail but i cant find any T2060 or T2250 cpu on it... maybe hp want to get rid of this old stock.. hehehehehe.
since there are ppl gettin same cpu as me. My last assumtion is hp didnt update the spec of these model.
Vista has really nice interface and i like it so much. Down is it pull lot of RAM. (No wonder microsoft said min is 1Gb of ram to run vista)
V3000 model nb is a good bargain plus it has a stylish design than other.
I think HP is slowly putting core duo out of the market then promote more on core 2 duo..last year i bought a compaq V3000 (cant remember specific model) it had a amd turion 2.0 Ghz single proccessor with xp home. i upgraded the ram from 256 to 512.
