- If top up at MyDigi, you get 10% extra credit but the bonus is valid for 3 days only.
[3] With the RM100 credit, you can buy
InternetPlus @ RM28 or RM38 for 30 days and auto-renewal.
So you may have to reload your line before expiry period (120 days) for 3rd renewal on InternetPlus service.
and SLL is not useful for you as you always reload to get 120 days active period.

If you need talk time, you can subscribe to Internet plus plan RM38/month. This renders the special rates to 20 numbers in Digi best irrelevant.

Digi live gives you additional data 2.5Gig / week for youtube and some music streaming sites. This is useful.

Yes the call rate is not cheap, telcos treat customers who want to make calls like step siblings. They are only interested in promoting data plans.

In my case I'm with UMobile (for another 2weeks or there about) as much as it is value for $ but their coverage has drop so much that I can't use it anymore.

Close to my budget of RM28/mth I will add on internet plus RM30/mth when I port to Digi prepaid so that I can get some talk time for me and my wife. The older folks in the family are not into messaging. Hopefully I can stay within the talk time budget with Digi.

Hi, nice little discussion here.

I visited a telco shop nearby me today, saw Digi Best and Digi Live and Digi Broadband starter pack. Ask him what's the differences between the 3, he said Broadand is without call feature, Live and Best are the same except Live is the newer one. Ask him about free 12am-8am internet for Digi Best, he doesn't know.

BTW, fat chance I will buy Digi Best via online tomorrow (need to top up my debit card account). To ease my mind, can someone respond to my few questions here. The main reason or probalby the ONLY reason I am buying Digi Best beacuse of free 12am-8am. So my questions are on this free 12am-8am internet only:
1. Is there any catch here? I just need to keep my number alive, right? Say, just top up RM30 every month mimimum.
2. Can use to broadcast wifi or teethering? Can use with 3G modem to connect to PC?
3. Instead of top up RM30 monthly, how to get SLL 365 days? Just top up RM108? Availabe via Mayban2u only (I don't have MB account)?

Currently you are using umobile or Digi or both?

You mentioned you want to keep a number, so I assume you are planning to MNP To Digi online (so you will get a free McD burger!)... If you choose Digi Best (Version 2017 only),
[1] Free 1GB high speed internet everyday from 12am-8am. If you don't buy high speed internet, you still can use basic internet (capped at 500MB per calendar month)
[2] If you make IDD calls (10 countries only) >RM1 in a day (I called China 13 times in early morning to spend RM1.04, the cheapest possibility), you get another 1GB high speed internet to be used till end of the day (11:59pm).
[3] You top up RM30/50/100 to get 30/50/120 days active period, and RM30/50/100 (+bonus) credit.
[4] Use RM108 credit (not top up) for SLL 365 days. You can find this in the menu only when your credit >RM108.
[5] So when you activate the SIM card, you buy RM100 to get 120days active period. At 121th day, you top up RM30 to get +30 days active period. Then at 151th day, you can choose SLL365@RM108. provided you don't spend your credit all the time. It is wasted if you top up RM100+ and immediately go fo SLL365.
[6] Wifi Hotspot is possible, subject to the internet quota you have (1GB from 12am-8am etc). I use phone-to-phone, I haven't tried using 3G/LTE modem.
[7] You can use M2U(Wednesday only)/MyDigi to get bonus but the bonus is valid for 24 hours (M2U-Wed), 72 hours (MyDigi). T&C apply.
[8] Sometime Lazada may give out some discount codes, you can top up at Lazada-Wisepay at discounted price, eg I spent RM80.10 to top up RM100 last week.

Phone is with Umobile, will port to Digi soon. BB is with Digi. Digi BB at my place coverage is good. Wife's phone with Hotlink 365. 2 more phones with Umobile in my account but they don't stay with me so their lines are not affected by the recent replacement of antenna at my place. I have to "delink" my phones before I can port.

Re high call rates; I console myself that I don't have to just get a phone line for Streamyx anymore. That $ can pay for my mobile service.😊

Like i said, I just need 1 GB daily from 12 am - 8 am with a budget RM30 monthly. If i get that from Digi Best, than I will be happy.

BTW, for day time free data with RM1.04 IDD requirement, I am thinking how to do that because I don't know anyone on those 10 countries to call. I guess, maybe I can call an overseas office number at it's closed time, and let the voice prompt keep talking..
