1. Digi Best Prepaid 2016 is not equal to New Best v2. It is a new plan (probably New Best v3 with a new name) applicable to all activations beginning 1st August 2016.

2. The IDD Internet Club is no longer applicable to Best Prepaid 2016.

Digi is the worst telco for treating their prepaid customers.. Fullstop.

How did you end up thinking that they could be the same plan if you see one as Digi New Best V2 and the other as Digi Best Prepaid 2016? Digi has 2 types of prepaid - Digi Best and Digi Smart/Live - and in Best itself there are different versions depending on when they're bought and if any upgrades to new versions are done each time one is offered in the stores.

Unless you always keep your eyes peeled to forums like this, and on Digi website on the day you head to the store, you won't know when a new version is released. One day after I read here that Digi Prepaid Best 2016 was released, I asked a dealer when my friend wanted to buy one, and was told it's still the older plan. So can't really trust them either.

Thanks for sharing info about Point 2. Piece of bad news here, then. Good news is I didn't get my friend to buy a new SIM pack recently.

Agree. For alternative just switch to Digi Postpaid.

I AM trying to recommend Digi to my friend for the 1GB basic internet and just topup RM10 monthly to buy SLL RM8=30days. Guess Digi is bad enough for new users.

digi refreshes their prepaid product line every 2-3 months. keep your fingers crossed and act fast when a good one comes out

Digi best prepaid 2016 already comes with 500MB basic internet. SLL RM68 = 365 days is more economical in the long run. If monthly budget is constrained then topup bit by bit until RM69 before subscribing SLL .....

Seriously, the best I could muster was roughly 400MB usage of IDDIC. I could've sworn that smoke was coming out from me phone that particular month doing the IDDIC milking. Nowadays I hardly go over more than 100MB monthly.

Apart from this latest Digi Best plan, the one before - Digi New Best Prepaid v2 - is the other one with 500MB monthly free basic internet.

Digi New Best Prepaid v1 and Digi Best Prepaid v4, and maybe also Digi Best Prepaid v3 - don't have that.

No need. All you need to do is use your phone and dial *138# and there's an option for internet IDD. Do note its a basic free internet 1GB a month and the speed is slow like no tomorrow. Its good for whatsapp, line and chat use only. To browse you can forget about it

I browse lowyat forum every day using basic data.

Reasonably good for lite whatsapp, telegram, fb msgr, skype, etc (keyword: lite) ... browsing is doable with opera mini ... normal browsing on flashy sites or heavy graphics or intensive scripting is still doable but requires lotsa patience and good supply of coffee ..... (just try loading digi homepage to browse around a bit and you'll get the idea) ...

Agreed. If you have the patient to wait then it will be good else I would not want to wait a few minute for a page to load and a few minute everytime I click on a link. A very basic webpages will load fine with Opera Mini but how many pages nowadays are very basic

IDDIC data can't make call on whatsapp smoothly.....speed low.....voice lag.

RM68 for Super Long Life is kind of expensive.

500MB of snail-pace 64kbps internet is as good as nothing in this day and age.
