I don't understand the fastboot section.

read it from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/ge...te-fix-t3255452

I'm done with step 5, but I dont quite get it for step 6. I opened the cmd, at the location where I extracted the files. trying with "fastboot devices" but 'fastboot' is not recognised as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

icon_question.gif
update:

tried using honor multitool, select unbrick option, but failed when writing the fastboot.. hmm

update 2: is it necessary to unloack fastboot? as I entered the fastboot, it said my phone is locked. if it is necessary, how to get it since I can't even switched on the phone..
*
I understand the feeling. coz i *faak* up alot on previous android dev testing.
It sounds like you flashed the wrong rom to your Honor7. I wonder how u manage to do it.
You said that you tried using Multitool.. but, have you tried using another tool? just want to make sure you tried all options

I tried multitool and manual cmd code as the tutorial from what I have quoted before.
now I have a bit of understanding towards the fastboot, as I installed its driver as well as ADB.
I have never rooted my phone before, so when I press volume down + power, it enter the fastboot menu, but it said 'LOCKED phone".

so it it important to unlock first, then i will be able to flash those files I extracted to my phone. if so, I can't even turn on my phone, how am i supposed to turn on debug mode etc.

rclxub.gif
update:

I guess so, I downloaded "PLK-L01C636B310-OTA" that i found in a forum when I googled before. put it in my sd card, then do local update. phone restart, went up to 100% updating then restart again, then stucked on the honor logo for hours. then i gave up. lol
*
Have you tried SRK tool yet?
Fastboot is one of the command that required while opening cmd prompt with ADB function that has been installed on your computer.
Right now, regardless if it is matter to unlock the bootloader or not, your priority is to turn on your device. Believe me, I would suggest you for not breaking up your brain further more.
Best solution is, bring your phone to Huawei in Lowyat Plaza, send it for warranty. Tell them that you do an OTA update, then phone are not able to power on. They cant detect what is the current rom as the partition might been damage with no OS running.

* Do you still have a copy of your Honor 7 receipt (warranty card)?

yup. still have. but lowyat is 9hours away drive from here.  laugh.gif

now downloading the srk tool you're saying.

does that mean it doesn't matter if my phone is locked or unlocked when using this apps to unbricked?
cuz I'm quite reluctant to unlocked as my phone is still under warranty..
*
My bad. I thought you're in KL. Anyway, you could find any nearest Huawei center and hand it over to them with your warranty.
Yes, it doesn't matter even if you had a lock or unlock bootloader. The tools should (might) be able to help. Anyway, different people will have different error situation to recover from the dead. yours might be a little bit tricky.

Guys. After I have a updated to B340. The fingerprint feels slower and it has the annoying screen unlock animation. Any Ideas guys?
*
Have you reset factory default after the successful upgrade to B340? That would at least eliminate our theory.
I am running on rooted B330, still happy with it. (before happy, there is always tears in heaven, cry.gif which i done a factory default 2 times) laugh.gif

anybody know where can download nice Dark / Black theme for Honor 7 (theme including Dialer ..Contacts .. Messaging ... not just changing icons). The one I found does not changing Dialer / Contacts / Messaging app theme color.. still in white..  I want it to be black / dark.
*
If you are still in EMUI 3.1 (Lollipop), might want to consider this.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/th...mui3-1-t3238176

I use biggrin.gif d it before. Very nice Black + Red Theme. some ppl might want to masturbate when see it also. haha
I think there is an option to make the messaging became dark. worth to try. if not, just remove it then

hey guys. I just got back my phone from a service centre. Then realised that my phone now is 330. Not 340. What should I do? Downgrade to b130 1st?
*
1st of all, i think you are the only person who know how to answer that icon_rolleyes.gif
because it's your cellphone, and you are the owner of it.

2nd is: why would you want to go for B340 hmm.gif just because of the numbers? I believe B330 & B340 have the same experience usage.

3rd is: do you feel any awkward situation after get the B330 from them? such as whatsapp notification issues, slow charging, display notification, etc.. if not then... up to you. laugh.gif

Anyway, we are also happy to hear that your phone is now ready to be use. Enjoy the B330 first. go catch pokemon or capture some magnificent photo's using H7 20mp camera + show off to your frens how cool is your phone compare to theirs whistling.gif - once you bored, then considered go for B340 whistling.gif

- im just saying my opinion.

Instead of read, best to install Ampere Meter biggrin.gif

My current unit had:
1. Fast charging adapter
2. Fast charging cable
= Connected at 1053 mA
= 4.297 Voltage

Then i try to use the fast charging cable, connected to my usb 2.0 laptop, i get:
Connected 496 mA
4.255 Voltage

All those issue on B340 are similar like B330, previously. I agreed that once you guys had the new B340 pushed over, spend a little more time to reset to factory default + wipe dalvik cache (might need to have TWRP) if necessary. + protect the whatsapp notification + Screen Lock & password = set to Notifications turn on screen + reboot to confirm the changes.

looks like only me left with B330 as a very satisfied customer whistling.gif unless there is a major release for EMUI 4.1, I might consider change it.

Hi Guy, just copied the package before I update from B130 to B340. Here is the link, you may download and extract to your SD card then update manual to B340 without downgrade to B130

wait, just rename the update.app to update.zip?

then the remaining 4 folders?
*
I don't think you need to unzip the file that our friend upload it.
Straight away copy the downloaded zip file - put in your storage.
That might be the easiest way, perhaps?

i did it.

1) rename the zip file to "update.zip"

2) copy the "update.zip" into my internal storage, and put it inside a newly created folder "dload".

3) local update.

4) wait super long.

now i'm on android 6.0, B340, security patch 1 june 2016.
*
There you go. after long wait rclxms.gif
thanks to our friend who extract it thumbup.gif
ya, i also agree if you do a factory reset on it tonight and tell us the good news.

nope. rooted.
is this mandatory? because i did not found this in instruction  sad.gif

Bro,
If you're phone rooted, i think your Recovery is still in TWRP, which you need a Stock Recovery in order to flash the original Rom.

1. You can try to use Multi Tool to unbrick your phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/ge...i-tool-t3281176

If unbrick successful or not successful, you might need to install the stock Recovery back to original, using the same tool.

The important thing is now, to make sure your phone is able to turn back on.
