I think they wanted to get the log cat all activity / changes you done in your phone  tongue.gif
Or
If changing the Battery - they cannot make more money. So, if you leave the phone there, barang lain pun diorang akan cakap rosak pulak. Motherboard chipset burn lah, center board issue lah. Tikus gigit wifi lah..  biggrin.gif

the problem is i lost all confidence in them after they asked me to leave my phone there and said change battery might affect other parts. but then again, smart also, anything can say "see, i told you so!".

Maybe they are pro. Want to make sure everything fine...or not pro. Need time to slowly do without customer pressure. Which service center you head to? I also got no extra phone cannot leave there  hmm.gif

Yesterday when to Plaza Berjaya they quote me battery RM51 + RM60 + GST = RM117.66
But says weekend no do on the spot. Only weekdays but need 3 to 4 hours to do replacement.
I did ask is it under promotion, he says ya but I didn't follow up what he mean ya coz not interested to leave the phone there until Thursday.

Before that he says need to call to check stock availability.

So maybe can replace from outside? hmm.gif

Ever tried to backup & reset to Factory Default + Wipe dalvik cache over recovery? Worth to try.
If nothing happen, then we know its the battery issue already.
@Vcys86
I was on various rom before and I can summarized:

Pure Rom by DigiGoon: Very light + fast + smooth etc + no longer supported + security patch outdated

Lineage OS by Papsi: Battery hunger + no issue with whatsapp & other notification + on going bugs (even with xPosed) + support is about 50-50 from dev.  bangwall.gif

Lineage OS Reloaded by WBT: Battery consumtion depends on your usage. tricky part on the doze usage of Naptime and Amplify - trust me, you don't want to mess up on this

MiUi for Honor 7 by WBT: Almost perfect rom for daily usage. Base from China rom + have build in CM call record. Problem with Magisk (root alternative). Magisk hide won't work well with banking apps such Maybank + Cimb. If you are okay with no root, this Rom is a new experience.

Stock China (PLK-TL00C01B388): Rom is stock, just need to install Google play from HiApp during the 1st setup. Have a lot of features such as build in call recorder + Dual App + Split screen. Works with Magisk root & normal root. The only problem I had was - this rom does not keep the apps that we protected.  ranting.gif (you know what i mean) when we clear everything, it will clear everything and will not keep the selected protected running service. Unless, need to move the whole directory from \data\data\ to \system\priv-apps

Stock Malaysia (PLK-L01-C636B375): Finally, im back to M'sia stock rom  tongue.gif . Can't say how much i missed the good old days. Best rom ever! I mean, with the latest security patches dated Nov 6 2017 + Magisk hide (root) works perfectly on banking apps. Protected apps working fine + battery consumption is good + i can manually add split screen, etc...

so.. yeah, i go for Malaysian stock rom  icon_rolleyes.gif

Is there a guide on how to use Magisk on H7?

nvm i just root normally and install TWRP then instead of flashing supersu i use magisk seems to work

Why so expensive? They should not have quoted the service fee for you, since it's under promotion.

OK. Continue the update.
Plaza Berjaya got no stock and ask me to check at Pavilion or Amcorp Mall.

Go to Pavilion and the girl says need to leave the phone there for technician to diagnose. Change battery sometimes cannot solve the battery drain. 1) Need to leave phone. 2) Need extra diagnose, so I hesitate and given excuse that I need to rearrange the time.

Bring my friend's Oppo to Plaza Berjaya to quote screen crack and change battery. Battery RM48 + Screen RM155 inclusive of GST. Within budget and can do on the spot (1 hour).

Feeling pek chek vmad.gif go to Low Yat Plaza survey. 2 Floors of repair shop keeps lure me and seen a proper shop and repair desk. RM120 settle in less than 20 minutes.

Oppo phone done in roughly 45minutes.

haih for my case, i regret didn't just change the battery. now my battery gone crazy, maybe merajuk because i was thinking of changing it the other day. laugh.gif

now once i use heavily and the battery drops to +/- 40%, that's when it starts to go haywire, it will drop rapidly and become 0% in no time, and when charge, battery indicator will show like not changing (battery % doesn't increase) despite it being fast charge, then after several restart, the battery will show 100%. rclxub.gif

Yeah. Previously mine drop very fast to 30% and 17%, 13%, 9%, 7% then shutdown.
Just change from outside and maybe last another 1.5 to 2 years. By then cannot find the battery already.

Anyway, after change the battery, the drop consistent but not as durable as new device. Now can use until late evening compare to years ago can last more than 1 day with minimal usage. May be apps nowadays consume more power.

And using Ampere to gauge faulty battery average at 35'c. After change at 25'c. Help from the current weather? laugh.gif

Does the battery issue starting taking effect after using Quick Charge - (charger adapter)? hmm.gif
I never get any chances to buy that Fast Charger (like Qualcomm Certified Aukey / Anker / etc)

For mine. After use quick charger the battery lifetime deteriorate. Maybe it use to 1000amp. Suddenly 2000amp a weak battery cannot take it.

I think good investment to change battery. Either trade it or use another year. Nowadays can't find a good replacement.

I know this thread for Honor 7.

But today I went to Honor store and tested the 7X model. I'm impressed with the build quality. For a midrange phone, the phone feels fast when tried open apps, scroll, snap pics and other stuff

This phone is much much better than the overpriced Oppo F5 and Vivo V7+ that cost RM1300++ doh.gif

I tried Oppo F5 but it feels so sloww compared to Honor 7X.

from my experience with honor 6 and honor 7, both are very nice very price friendly phones.

it's honestly good enough for me, my usages are browsing, whatsapp, basic gaming, photo taking.

sure, they don't have the best camera, but for the price, it's considered very good already.

my only discontentment with honor phones are false promises, such as LTE-A usage and software updates. i remembered honor promising various things but in the end they do not delivered. when i asked, their CS always give generic answers. sure, i know the phone is cheap but i expect one to fulfill their promises and not pretend and ignore and when they launch new model then they say "this time we will really do this and this".

tl;dr -> buy honor if you are basic user, do not buy if you value software updates and fulfilled promises.
