Since you didn't offer any warranty in the first place it's up to your discretion if you want to help out the buyer... it's very clear cut to me hmm.gif

My take on this:

Working condition with no warranty given is ironic isnt it especially both party didnt request to verify on the spot the functionality of the mobo. How to argue whos right whos wrong. Ask the buyer to send u a picture of the item and compare with ur earlier pic. Look for any bulging caps. Well unless it is there already and the buyers accept it then no warranty lo or it could be you failed to mention it.

At least do your part ask the seller to send back the item and do a 24hr burn in with photo using ur own components. He will send it back to you if he is genuine. Who knows maybe it is his components are faulty or not compatible. If still unstable both party are wrong cause u failed to prove to him its working and he also failed by accepting the product as it is.

Losses beared by both parties 50/50. IMO just by stating "in working condition" isnt enough to justify the none warranty term without any prove.

You stated no warranty, so it's up to you now. Buyer have no right for a refund unless you sold the mobo before 30th Dec 2006 (where you edited the post).

Bolded statement.

For what I understand, that was just his pure assumption. How the hell he's going to know when will the mobo is gonna be kong-ed. Ok, it was the bulging caps, thus he made that assumptions. But, by your statement the mobo you sold to him is still working fine, ain't it? And yeah, no warranty was given why should you held responsible for it. Just to be fair, do whatever suggested by others.

no.. i think you're doing the right thing.. this is why:

1. He knew that he was buying a board without warranty
2. By making the purchase, he is agreeing to your terms and condition
3. Also by making the purchase, he took your word for it that it is working

i believe you have not cheated him in anyway as the board is actually WORKING as you claimed. He could've asked to test the board first and check it thoroughly before agreeing to buy. Now he is having second thoughts, but thats not your problem. i wouldn't worry too much about it.

Yeah, next time, take photo of your item. Then post it on in the forum. Tell the buyer to print out the photo. Then double check on the spot whether got any burn or scrathes. biggrin.gif
