My opinion is HSR is a plus if happen. Location wise it is still near to the second link about 10km after the completion of exchange around 2019/2020. The question is what the purpose of your interest at Melia the first place?1. It is for your own stay as you are working in Singapore? I would buy as near to Singapore as possible. 2. It is for own stay and you working in Johor. Then you have other better choice in other Johor area with better amenities and better price points.
3. Buying for investment purpose? Rental or appreciation? Then there are another points to consider.
There are still a large land around Melia which not develop yet and with the cancellation of HSR. UEM need to rethink what to do. I was there 2 months ago and saw more land is cleared and widen of road in on going. Some activities are on going but not sure the details.
