I'm sharing an experience with roaming recently to Thailand. I brought along an old phone and locked it down to 2G only. Making sure that data roaming is off.
I've since returned from the trip for more than a week. No charges or whatsoever as verified on the online customer service portal. I suspect that the culprit to the roaming data is VOLTE. Voice over lte. Maybe don't let your phone roam on 4g and that may save you hours of grief. Hope this helps. |
