AEON BT form allows only 3 CC for BT, so if more can use another form?
The minimum BT of rm1000 is for per card or total amount?
Email or fax faster process? The last time I did last year was by fax. What is their email?
Sorry long time didn't BT, n suddenly need to BT by today, help is much appreciated.

Email is faster.

You mean bank will not follow the statement amount? So for example, my statement total to 3.5k, when do BT can I request for 5k? confused.gif
*
for banks that don't require a card statement, you can put however much you want that is within your probable BT credit limit.

Otherwise, you need to stick to the actual card balance(s).

Hi all, I don't have any MBB CC now but I'm planning to apply one for BT later. Any idea if newly CC holder will affect the chances of getting BT approved?

Thanks.
*
I believe the approval would probably based on your CCRIS report first, to determine if you are a delinquent customer else where and that would decide if you can get the card in the first place.

subsequently, it's probably on your BT amount and payment records (again, in CCRIS).

Since this is your 1st time, do u know how HSBC's BT works? If not u better scan thru this thread to know more.

totally agree with MGM, there is a HUGE catch in HSBC BT. I would never go for it after having bitten by it.

QUOTE(paklee @ Feb 22 2017, 10:35 AM)
after go thru the thread, this is what i understand.

- never do retail transaction if got BT in your HSBC card. (its ok i guess since my solely purpose applying hsbc is for their 12month 0% interest BT)
- every month need to pay 5% minimum payment and settle the balance in the last month. (1st - 11th month only pay 5%? and the balance 45% int the 12th month? since i apply for 10k BT, what if i intended to pay it equally every month?  rm10k/12month=rm834/month should be ok right?)

thanks in advance.
*
I don't think there is a difference for paying 5% or paying equally every month (didn't try the latter, cause trying to utilize the 5% minimum payment), might as well save your money in FD for x months for interest.

I was also telling myself that i will not use the card at all, but then comes the promotion and benefits for using hsbc card, kena finance charges even if i paid on the same day. Hopefully you won't repeat what I went thru. rclxms.gif

how about the CL? let say i buy an item 12k, installment 12 month which means 1k per month. my CL 20k. so balance is 8k. if i do BT 12k. is it my CL back to 20k or still left with 8k?
*
if i understood your correctly, when you say, 'if i do BT 12k', i assumed that you meant you do a BT to transfer your balance to another card.
By doing so, a one lump sum payment will be made to your existing card. In other words, your existing card is fully paid, therefore CL is back to 20K.

Hope this answers.

My HLB BT is expiring on 3 March (statement date).

Just did a search to recap the day I should make final payment and wanted to confirm:

Payment ON expiry date will not attract interest or early termination penalty?

I am kiasu and paid almost everything today, leaving only RM0.50 to pay on the last date.  But just wanted to confirm whether it is best to pay ON the actual expiry date.
*
when i applied that, the officer did inform me, if I pay late, there will be interest. If I pay earlier, there will be panalty of RM70.00.
So, pay ON that date itself.

Luckily I saw your post. Just noticed my due date was 01032018!!

I got the BT on 28Dec, 3 months promo actually ends in 01Mar, that's like slightly more than 2 months only.
chatted with the officer, was told that i can pay earlier without penalty, but thought I would just play safe and leave 50sen in there.

For HL BT, is it correct that I made payment to the BT account rather than the CC account?
Sorry, first time doing HL BT.
Thanks.

so strange.

it is not the same due date as the credit card, though. Make sure you see the message below correctly, just in case.

Hi to all sifus here,
Is it possible to request for temporary credit limit increase for our credit card for BT purpose?
*
I supposed you can.

But the eligible BT amount may not be based on the temp increase credit limit, though.
