Boulevard - google it biggrin.gif
however as i know, boulevard is usually a wide n long straight road which beside is all the building,u can walk along the road to the end.
I think mr aza is trying to say this concept is not suitable for our country because it is so hot here?nobody would walk with across because u will sweat like crazy @@ this concept usually use in the country which has better weather?
juz my opinion n understanding about "boulevard" ,correct me if i am wrong...

most people say i'm not suited for architecture as they said architecture, u need to be very creative and artistic..
well, i'm not both.. tongue.gif but i am interested in technical drawing since secondary school.. u know, lukisan kejuruteraan..

therefore, even though i am interested but i am worry about that..
*
well...maybe creative n artistic is needed for architect, but i think it is juz 1 of all the aspect.even though i m not an architect or an architect student YET,but i think a architect not only design for design.maybe u mean creativity n artistic is from the aspect of the shape or the form of that building, but the durable, the usefulness, the management skill when building this n tat and lot of aspect which an architect need to have. But 1 thing,do u think everybody can do well in ALL the aspect?
well, for me,if u are interested in,u got patience,u feel tat u have high comitment and want to be an architect, then why do u bother what ppl say? the course is for us to learn thing, not everybody know everything then go and become an architect, then the courses better not existed...

juz my opinion,wahaha...(the ppl around me also say this is a hard subject, but I still want to take coz i believe in myself tongue.gif )

well to benjamin911,as I know Taylors course is only a diploma and not yet a part 1,so u need to go overseas to finish your part 1 and continue with your part 2 and so on.
However I already registered for taylors architectural course for the coming January, and I have hell a lot of questions like you too before enroll to the program, but that was around 2 or 3 months ago I asked the questions tongue.gif
However,I think that if the school is recognize, even though it is not accredit, but it should be able to let u finish ur study n become an architect someday, that y they are recognize...

juz my 2 cents, correct me if Im wrong biggrin.gif

well, the explanation from clayclws state it.If the school is recognized but not accredited you still can sit for the exam.what u study in the school is to let u to acquired the skill to become an architect so u can sit for the exam and become a real architect. So it will be the same even though u choose a non-accredited school but it is recognized,it's no harm biggrin.gif

to Benjamin...well,i think i m not going to proceed to Melbourne even though I only need another one year to finish my part 1 there.I prefer go UK coz my sis over there tongue.gif...however if u i choose to go to UK then i would need 2 years to finish my part 1.It is just depends on you, where you want to go...actually,u can use the result of ur diploma after finish to apply to the uni u wan to finish ur part 1,but because of taylors diploma is base on Melbourne Uni,so some uni will ask u to start from 1st year degree but some will let u advance for 1 year means u start from 2nd year (part 1 degree is 3 years),however Melbourne U will let u straight go to the final year...

RMIT = Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology

If no wrong the architecture program by metropolitan is partner with RMIT

one question want to ask Mr.azarimy, why in your list in the 1st page i cant find university of east london and london metropolitan,i got check for these 2 school and it is in list of riba ler...LAM n PAM doesnt accredit these 2?

thanks clayclws...
have another question here...i go to the web u give n find out that only the full time program is recognized...well for example,if I would like to take the part 2 with part time study,if I come back to msia then i have to sit for the exam again to get the part 2 in msia? well,if I come back to msia with finish part 3 but I finished part 2 with part time? again what to do with this situation?

thanks in advance biggrin.gif

______________________________________________________________________

well..i also want to know how Azarimy cope with ur Masters and PhD in UK,and u do it in UCL right? My target is also UCL,is that what they call it Bartlett? however,I would also like to know, Mr.aza where u finish your part 1? and is it possible to enter the 2nd year of part 1 in ucl after i get the diploma from taylor? what is the advantages if graduate from those well-known school like AA n Bartlett?
another thing want to ask...about the year out,i was told that it is kinda hard for a overseas and non-ue student to apply a job at uk.So what about the year out?I m worry about that i cant find a job at that time.and what about the visa?

thanks in advance

Added on December 24, 2007, 1:07 pmBTW, I was told that Taylor's have plans to offer the Bachelor of Architecture in their new flagship state-of-the-art lakeside university campus; which would be completed in the year 2009. (By then, I would still be in their Diploma program.) smile.gif

Looks nice, and sounds nice.

In the future, would my "Diploma in Architecture" from Taylor's give me the option to further my Architecture studies in any other universities? (Including oversea universities? - other than the university of Melbourne of course.)

Thanks a lot in advance.
*
this 1 i can answer u,if u enroll next year 2008,then u will have ur final year of diploma at the new campus biggrin.gif
ya,Taylor's diploma in architecture technology can let u to study in other universities beside Melb U.However it depends on ur result n ur project i think.however beside Melb U,some of the uni will only giv u 1 year advance which mean u enter 2nd year n finish ur part 1 3+2(Melb U is 3+1)...but still got some will need you to study full 3 years since the diploma is base on Melb U and every uni have different teaching method...

hope it help, correct me if im wrong...

azarimy:

I finished my SPM already this year. And I'm taking architecture next year at Taylors. I don't really understand the YELLOW box in Path 7 (Taylors diploma path) "4.0. Common Paths to Studying Architecture" in 1st page.

What do you mean by "YELLOW - conditional Part 1. for LUCT, it's still on batch-by-batch accreditation. for melbourne, i'm not too sure bcoz as far as i know, malaysia does not recognize any twinning programme." ?

Sorry if I ask a silly question ok? And thanks a lot!
Hehe smile.gif

harlo, next year which intake?I m january 1 biggrin.gif,i dont think u need to worry that about the accreditation.Since for LUCT n Taylors both u will need go overseas to finish ur study. However u can take the exam at Msia when u come back as long as u the uni u go to is recognized then u can take the exam...

hope it help, correct me if wrong! XD
