Hi, for your case, you may purchase one from TIME selfcare portal, model Dlink DIR850L @ RM270, since it includes onsite Installation as well.

You gotta make sure your receiving devices able to support 5GHz & Wifi 802.11AC standard in order to enjoy higher speed easily.

Laptop and desktop capability depends on the WiFi card, since you didn't state the exact model so I cannot check for you.

You can do this to check if your WiFi card got 5GHz band yourself.

2.4GHz runs on b/g/n.

5.0GHz runs on n/a/ac.

n is usable on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz.

Some newer 2.4GHz WiFi cards do support n but it is limited to 2.4GHz only, if there is ac in the result then it means your WiFi card supports 5.0GHz.

It depends on what is your budget, which WiFi standard (Up to 802.11N or 802.11AC) and how much coverage your need for your area i.e. how many square feet you want to cover.

WiFi AC Router can range from the cheaper TP-Link Archer C7 (~RM500) to Netgear R7000/R8000 or Asus RT-AC68U (RM1k)/RT-AC88U(RM1k+) - A few I can think of on top of my head.

WiFi N routers will be relatively cheaper than AC routers.

And lastly 2.4GHz band will have wider coverage than 5GHz.

If your Huawei modem is white color one (HG8240H) then it is a Gigabit modem, they won't change for you since it is already equipped with GE port.

Another router option would be TP-LINK Archer C7, price is around your budget (might need some top up).

HG8240 is also equipped with GE port.

I don't have Dlink 850L so I don't have any comment on it, I bought a C7 two months ago for my neighbour at RM 420, it is a pretty solid router below RM 500, so far I haven't receive any complaint from my neighbour who is on 100Mbps package, if you are using 100Mbps, it shouldn't have any issue (easy to achieve 100Mbps on 5GHz), if you are using 300Mbps/500Mbps package, please increase your budget for a more higher end router for a more stable speed via WiFi.

Archer C7 connect to internet via WAN.

Archer D7 is used for ADSL+2 connection.

Choose Archer C7 for your connection as modem use RJ45
cable.

Archer D7 have WAN port on LAN 1 port.

If you choose D7 only 3 ports available.

For C7 is 4 ports.

C7 is a router while D7 is a modem + router for ADSL+2 connection (like Streamyx).

Since we already have a Huawei modem (ONU) from TIME, so you just need to get a router which is C7 in this case.

You can try reboot all ur device and test again or test next day..
My speed still same,  sometime will get slower but next day test again the speed normal back

Take a mean.

1) First Test > via Router using Cat5e/Cat 6 cable

< Still Slow ?> ----IF YES, proceed to 2nd Test

2) 2nd Test > Connect your PC/Laptop using Cat5e/Cat 6 cable to LAN1 port of the ONU, create a pppoe connection on your computer, perform the test again.

< Still Slow ?> ----IF YES, proceed to file a report @ CS.
