Hi guys,

I am using TIME broadband at the moment.
My house has multiple ethernet ports for LAN cable including my rooms. The issue is how am I getting these ethernet ports workable or accessible to the internet?

At the moment the fiber optics go straight to the modem which was given by TIME then router.

Please advise.

Thank you.

All lan ports on the Wi-Fi Router can access to internet.

I am not referring to the ethernet port on the router.
My condo has multiple wall ethernet ports, I want to know how do I get the ports to have internet connections?

Do you mean the ethernet port on the wall? If it is, then you need to know where is the other end of those cable and connect those end to your router. For multiple cable (more than available port on router), you might need to get a proper ethernet switch, connect all cables to the switch and 1 cable from switch to router.

Hmm... i guess all i need is to call the management next week for more information. Hopefully they can assist me then.

Thanks anyway.

Hi Bro,

This is very common design where all your Ethernet cables will be linked back to a centralized location (usually will be a DB/Centralized Switch), commonly this is also where the fibre termination point will be.

Some buildings are designed in a different way where your Fibre Wall Socket/Termination Point is situated at a different location.

Best if you could let me know more details about the cable routes of your unit.
We'd able to advise you with the best solutions to utilize those Ethernet Ports.

Thanks.

Hi bro,

Thank you so much for your assistance.

I have figured out myself by trial and error. It is just beside a box where the fiber comes in smile.gif

Anyway, Thank you again notworthy.gif

Hi.

I have subscribed for time broadband less around 6 months now, however, I am planning to shift to landed property somewhere in Jan 2017.

May I know whether I can un-subscribe my internet plan with time?

Thanks.
