Hi. My girlfriend wants to get Time at her new apartment. Suriamas condo. She had a couple of questions which i figured can be best answered by real customers who use the product. 1- She is worried about the packages saying for x amount of users or devices. Like 100 mbps is for up to 6 devices. Is this an actual concern? Is there a limit to the number of devices depending on the package? In the worst case scenario she could be living with 6 other people in the apartment. Lets say each having minimum of 2 devices. With all their devices can she still get 100 mbps package?
2- This is more specifically to any Suriamas resident who has experience with Time. How is the coverage of the wi-fi using the included routers in your units? She is gonna be getting a 4 room unit fyi.
3- She currently has a Unifi contract. Does Time still have the easy switch promotion?
4- And last but not least how is the connection? Our concern is more to the stability. She has had bad experience with Unifi that tends to go dead from time to time.
Thanks in advance. And sorry if any of these questions have been asked before.

Anyone on this thread had problems with their tp-link routers losing connection every once in a while? I have a tp-link archer c1200. For the first month or so no problems. Then it just lost internet one day. All the status LED were normal. All the devices seemed to be connected to wifi but no internet. Had to restart the router and it worked fine. Then it happened on several more occasions. Finally called TIME just after it happened without restarting the router. They told us connection was good and to restart. A few days later the same thing happened and this time they sent a technician to check the router. He rebooted it and asked to check for a couple of days. Nothing happens for the two days but barely a week later the same issue. So called again and requested for a new router because the technician said if it happens again to do so. Now waiting on TIME to call back.
I was on the unifi TP-Link thread and it seems like there is an issue with this router and a couple of others from TP-Link. Maybe this is related, maybe not. I think the router eventually restarts on its own. But the first time it happened I restarted the router more than 3hrs later. So I dont know how long it takes for the router to restart on its own if it even does.

Lasted barely less than 4hrs before the same issue rose up. I'm developing a strong hatred towards TP-Link and TIME.

Update: TIME contacted us and told us the problem lies with their version of the firmware. So until they fix the bugs out of it they are asking us to be patient. I'd rather have just gotten a different model router. Lol. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Jan 11 2018, 02:05 PM) Bro, it’s rather obvious, isn’t it with the TP Link AC1200, as there have been multiple complaints and issue mentioned by other forumers here. Their top end models are really good though, and they should spend more time on improving their mid range and older models. True enough. I'm looking into new router models. Ones with better coverage. Current router is placed in our bedroom very selfishly because I want the fastest possible speeds. But this does leave the living room in poor coverage and the kitchen almost non existent. So any recommendations on routers that offer greater coverage than the C1200?

Oh believe me I do need it that close to me. As it is now if I move to the living room I'm getting 75%+ reduction of the speed. I didn't get 300mbps to enjoy a quarter of the speed. I'll look into the recommendation you guys gave. Thanks.

What is the best router or mesh for gigabit wifi that you guys will recommend? Something that can safely cover at least 2000 sqft.
