Is the rebate for switching still on? I'm planning to switch from Symphonet to Time...heard the validity will end in August? not sure when..and if the installer comes and install after I signed up but past the validity date - will Time still offer the rebate?

How does the rebate work?

Hi guys,

I am existing Time customer
currently using 100Mbps
Planing to relocate to Oug Parklane next month

if i want to continue Time internet at OUG Parklane
need to do any drilling for cabling ?

Just need to know about this since my current apartment the technician did some drilling to pull the cable into my unit
*
there should be no issue at Parklane OUG - all the units are fiber ready so there is already existing fiber connectiong at your home..no need for any drilling or pulling any cables...

I am on TIME 100Mbit and I have very slow download to any site in the US / Europe. Basically, the speed test to a KL server is 100 Mbit but when you try doing a speedtest to a server in Amsterdam or NYC, it drops to less than 10Mbits sometimes. The download speed from major US servers (hp.com) is less than 10Mbit.

I called TIME a lot of times and they finally told me: "We are just a small ISP and our peering capabilities are small. Only Telekcom Malaysia has sufficient peering capabilities". Yes, that's what I was told by TIME CS.

Currently considering switching to Unifi to get proper speeds on servers in Europe / US.

Thats strange i get about 40 Mbps download speed when i did a speed test to Dallas TX in US...

Hi,

How big is your unit? You may pm me if you need a proper wifi coverage design.

For your reference, you may go for the followings (supports 5GHz) and good coverage:

TPLink
1) Archer C7
2) Archer C9
3) C3200
4) Higher end models.
Asus
1) RT-AC55U
2) RT-AC66U
3) RT-AC68U
4) Higher end models.
Thanks.

How about TPLINK AC2600 ? Is that compatible with Time?

How is the C7 performance compared to the D Link?

Am wondering - does TIME expect us to return the equipment if we change provider after the contract ends? that way I can sell the D-Link provided by them to cover a new router costs.

Dear bro
At the moment , time technicians not collect the hardware after termination of contract.

Thanks

I know unifi collects it if you terminate before contract ends...but not sure if they do collect after contract ends....

Now for TIME, once the contract ends...you're saying they will not collect, correct?

Have a few friends using Tenda but heard no complaints from them so far.

Asus RT-AC68U user here. Powerful, stable, strong wifi but expensive (in my opinion).

I'm using TENDA as well -no issues so far - love the auto restart feature that can be set daily - also low power mode. Better than the stock D- Link....however TIME service could be better - experiencing lots of frequent slowdowns recently
