Is there any information about the coverage of time business broadband? It looks like it tops out at 100Mb/s which suggests using TM infrastructure but i cant find any details about coverage.

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Sep 2 2017, 09:23 AM) Hi...Thank you for your interest in TIME Fibre Internet servuces. Feel free to check out time.com.my or pm/whatsapp me your location to check for coverage. Nope...it does not utilizes TM infra. Thanks. Thanks, so this mean that even time business internet is limited to high rise buildings? So both time fiber broadband and time business internet essentially have the same coverage?

while i did make a post, Time internet is actually slow for anything international. On TM at the same time of day i can watch a video from US or UK from a service like amazon or netflix at full quality with no issue. On time it is always pixelated and other services just buffer. Its not the fault of my laptop or router either as i use a 36 cpu core router coupled on gigabit ethernet.
So before you get time internet, consider this. If your primary use is international traffic, TM is much faster than that. IF primary use is local traffic then time is faster.
I've done what i can including contacting time as well. Its just how they manage international traffic.

i sorted out my connection issues with time by using QoS, now every video, even if its on a remote server internationally doesnt keep buffering every few seconds and just loads quick, along with huge latency reductions in gaming. The problem isnt bandwidth but how the traffic is managed.
However you need a mikrotik router and a sophisticated QoS setup.

QUOTE(lchee @ Jan 26 2018, 11:34 PM) Hi, I have been using Timenet for a while. TImenet during installation gave me a Huawei white device with another Dlink cyclindrical device. I think one of them is modem and the other is a router. Not sure which is which as both has Lan port on them. I connect the phone line to the white Huawei device though which Timenet provides a phone line which I do use though rarely. I am now wondering if I can replace those two devices with one device? I am looking at the Asus DSL-AC88u, which looks like a lamborgini. Anyone successfully used this device from Asus to replace the two devices given by Time? Is the phone line still be usable? Do let me know. I use that for wifi only which i got for less than the price of the asus ac3200 in malaysia and i use https://mikrotik.com/product/CCR1036-8G-2Splus as my router

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Jan 27 2018, 08:31 AM) Hi, I'm sorry you can't replace the Huawei ONU & the Dlink Router with your Modem Router. What you can replace is the Router itself (Dlink DIR850L cylinrical device) with your own router. Thanks. you can replace the huawei ONU, simply get a router with a SFP port and get a GPON SFP module.
