Hey guys,

I'm gonna replace the E1200 with this: https://www.asus.com/Networking/RTAC68U/specifications/
The AC68U has rave reviews from what I read. Anyone got hands-on real life experience with it?

Right now I have 2 laptops at home, both have WLAN a/b/g/n
One more new laptop coming soon, with dual band WLAN ac.
Both mobile phones already have WLAN a/b/g/n/ac.

This morning slept at 4am for one final round of tweaking on the E1200.
On LAN, hitting 80+ to 90 Mbps no problem on the E1200. Very acceptable since ISP gives me 100Mpbs.
On WLAN, 30+ to 40+ Mbps only. Unacceptable. So I will welcome AC68U real soon.

Have u try to tweak ur wireless adapter?
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/sup.../000005544.html

I manage to get around 90Mbps with my 4 years old laptop (intel centrino Wireless N1000) with 4 years old router (netgear WPN824N)

When I closed my UniFi account, they didn't want to take back the HyppTV box. The guy even told us some customers that changed to Maxis fibre can continue to use it. Right now I have the HyppTV box at home collecting dust.

Does anyone have experience using back a HyppTV box using Time fibre?
Not sure whether Time supports IPTV or not.
*
My HYPPTV box (Huawei EC6108V) can work with TIME broadband. Just that the HYPPTV application will no longer functioning bcz it need an username n password.

I install quite a lot of android apps (e.g MoreTV) to stream chinese movies, dramas n live tv.

What's this for? From where to where? Like the LAN homeplug is it?
*
Some sort like LAN homeplug but it is for optical fiber. It used to be TM phone port. I removed it n replaced with this wall socket. It is connect to the TIME ONT. So in future if I wan to relocate my ONT i just need to change the cable (yellow)

So no wall hacking involved? Nice!  thumbup.gif

No wall hacking cz I ran the fiber thru above plaster ceiling n down to a pvc pipe which buried inside the wall during reno.

It depends on your expectation... if you need farther & wider coverage, then TL-WR841HP is definitely better, but downside is 5GHz band is not available.

If you expect higher internal network transfer, then C20 is better.

Thanks.

i want to able to stream HD movies and smooth skype call. My apartment is 1200sqft (the oasis penang). Do you think C20 is better option to go for?

Hi, please dont choose Auto Detect, instead choose manual & WAN connection type as PPPOE, then manually key in your given TIME account  (in the form of  username@timebb , password)
And follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

Thanks.

You may bypass the router, create a dialup and connect your pc/lappie directly to the Huawei ONU LAN1 port.

Check the speed again...
*

Direct lan connection to ONU --- OKAY

QUOTE(red4900 @ Mar 21 2017, 07:33 PM)

My phone maxxed out to 30Mbps too, but I think that's the limitation of the phone....I think

Bypass to ONU got full speed? DL and UL speed is in full.

If yes, then is router problem

ONU cannot go wrong.
ONU is the only device that don't replace.

Only Wi-Fi Router is replaceable.
*
Bypass (direct ONU) full dl an ul speed.
Tested 3 different wifi routers..
1) Time ZTE
2) TP Link C5 bought yesterday
3) Netgear N150.

Issues happen since last month. Thought router issue but seems like not to me now.

Cluesless .... Call CS but they said they cant help....
