If it is C1200 v1, I wouldn’t want it even if you give it to me for free lol.
Don’t worry, you are not missing anything. That router is crap.
*
So far C1200 v1 is OK (as first day),reaching wired 300/300 speed and 280/270 on wifi 5g.
Came with latest firmware C1200v1_eu_time-up-boot-1.0.0 Build 20180502 rel.45702.

Before I changed to C9, I also have the same firmware as you. I can say after 2 weeks of usage, no DC at all. Really good! You can continue to use it.

For me I changed to C9 because I need bigger coverage smile.gif
*
I also plan to upgrade router, but as I said earlier C1200 is ok so far,
even easy to set IPv6, Wifi speed is also good.
Will see in next few days how C1200 perform, maybe I will fine tune wifi channels only.

Oh.  sad.gif  sad.gif
Do upgrade to AC2300 if your C1200 gives you a lot of problems.

Problems like disconnection, Wi-Fi speed slow.

Set 11 for 2.4GHz because channel 11 not much interference.

Thanks.
*
Yea, I thinking about C2300 or C3150,but will see after week or two.
So far using wifi 5GHz and no problem with speed..all Auto, maybe later do fine tweaks.
Thx bro..... thumbsup.gif

Hi guys,
using TIME just a few days, so I already noted a few things.
Upload speed is much weaker (lower) with int'l connection and some local ISP providers in test speed.

Youtube a bit lagging on 4k & 8k contents with LAN connection.
My previous Unifi 50Mbps no problem (maybe IPv6 enable..?).
Any advice..router issue....?

Btw,
is very hard to achive top speed (300/300) in speed test.

Hi,

Yes Intl connection to some locations might b slower, we need to check the routing.

Assuming same testing hardware (eg. Pc/lappie) with Unifi & TIME,  router could be one of the possibility.
Before proceed to further troubleshooting, since you are able to use LAN connection to your PC/laptop, we advise you to perform a direct ONU connection by bypassing the router.

Can you drop me an email at support@timefibre.com , we will guide you to check further.

Thanks.

Somehow playing with router DNS (8.8.8.8) and IPv6 disabled, I manage to have Youtube without lagging with 4/8K contens.
Now is OK.
Thanks for your advice guys..... thumbsup.gif

Hi,

I just got my Time install at my new house recently. Previously as user of streamyx 8mbps and switch to 100mbps can tell that I really amaze with the speed. Constant download speed at 10mbps. I very tempting to upgrade to 300mbps LOL.

However, here the real question. Can anyone suggest me android box that you use with TM? Just solely watching tv/movies/kdrama and perhaps sport. Not gonna play any game on that. I have 4k tv perhaps can view it in HD. Budget not exceeding RM1k ( I know those android tv that can play games worth RM1k++.)

Thanks in advance.

If not resolved, need to complaint to MCMC already.

Now the speed better already...

But they better explain why every night at around 10pm will be slow!  vmad.gif

Guys,
which browser you using to test speed?
I noticed my Firefox is havy loaded and checking speed there always give me lower result (hardly to get 300Mbps).

Also change server often, sometime TIME server is overloaded.
My best results ,I getting with plain (empty) browser as Edge or Opera browser (unused).

Yes 4G server:
Firefox (loaded)

Edge (empty)

Opera (empty)

TIME server:
Firefox (loaded)...upload test failed....

Opera (empty)......download/upload test failed....then:

Ookla speedtest problem with TIME server (this hours).......Firefox and Opera....Edge is OK.

Edit:

2 wired and 6 wireless clients when testing speed (stock router C1200).
