QUOTE(tech noob @ Dec 26 2016, 02:31 PM) u r not alone, seems like time are having terrible route to China. I need to switch to backup line (Maxis 4G) in order to connect to China server. so what's the point when u seems like getting so much of bandwidth but can't even load a webpage. after 1 year with Time fiber, the network performance seems like getting worse with bandwidth 100Mbps but going to china is like max out at 1Mbps or even less most of the time,. no matter how many time restart the modem regardless of what ip, and vpn or proxy, not working,.. Time fiber is lame to china,. my friend using streamyx connection with 8Mbps, going to china server anytime will have at least 2~4Mbps,... sometimes even more than that,... try the 360 cloud, or baidu cloud or any china server like kuaishou,.. u will definitely cry,. this is the only downside of Time so far |

QUOTE(Zatopek @ Jan 7 2017, 02:29 PM) I'm moving to Malaysia and would work from home - almost permanently on VPN connected to Dublin. Looking at ISP options and TIME fiber looking very promising. I'm a bit skeptical on real world speeds though. (This is almost to good to be true https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZEV-hVn1qo) hope the result can help you out,.. Is their anyone on here that would be willing to do two speedtest.net test please? It would much appreciated! a) The default test where a server is selected for you in KL, b) A test when you select a server in Dublin. I'm considering the 500Mbts option, but no use if I only get 10 Mbts... Then the 100/300Mbts will do as well... Except if the Linksys EA6350 router one get with the 500Mbts is a bit stronger on WIFI range... opinion? Thanks in advance, for KL it is random server.. for Dublin, i select top 2 server in the list i am on Time Fiber 100Mbps plan user This post has been edited by chuahcs79: Jan 7 2017, 07:46 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(stapler87 @ Jan 12 2017, 06:17 PM) Hello to all the sifu here, I am using mibox 3th gen. Always encounter time Tiber slowness issue to China no matter on mibox or any other china server in window 7 computer even after vpn/proxy/dns..May I know if anyone is using their mibox 6th gen (white color) with time broadband ? Is there any special setting required for the set up ? The reason i am asking this is because the mibox doesn't load (weather not updating, internet seems to be very slow or not moving at all) when my mibox is connecting to time broadband. However, when its connected via my phone hotspot (e.g., digi), it seems to be loading perfectly. Hence, i am not sure if there is any special setting required for the setup in time broadband. Did anyone here face the same issue as mine? this is a snapshot of my mibox setting. Many thanks. ![]() Routing to china wise my friend 8Mbps TM streamyx still have upper hands than my 100Mbps.. |

QUOTE(stapler87 @ Jan 15 2017, 12:51 AM) exactly. Well that's the hidden part of what they didn't telling us until we personally try it out. I even test all the method I can find in Google search result. Going through tons of dns swap. Free or premium vpn and proxy server... but all failed or won't last long... for those who need China server or Chinese drama.. not suitable...I have no problem with netflix or connecting to youtube. I guess this is how it is with time broadband. Main Reason why I am holding on to it because I am holding on to the old price tag rm129 instead of rm149. Just swap Chinese drama to us English drama will do. Same to server.. This post has been edited by chuahcs79: Jan 15 2017, 03:14 AM |
