Trying not to be bias here but postage could loosen the ribbon cable as well.
Phone shops may not tell you the truth at times as they want you to have your repair there while they only have to open it and tighten the ribbon cable and there rm300

I suggest you to open the phone up if you have experience in doing so, or ask your friends who have experience in doing so.


If the seller has given you personal warranty, he should amend it by giving you a FULL refund and you shall send it back and it depends on what the seller should do with the phone

Z3 ribbon cannot longgr.
Touch screen connector connected to LCD flex.
Then there is a sticker over the touch screen connector so it doesnt unplug.
Then there is a metal shield over the touch screen and display connector.
Then 2 screws on the shield.
This Sony phones won't be waterproof after repairs.
Z3's top speaker is sticked on the LCD.
So once you remove it...
SCREWED

Will have crackling sound.
Like torn speaker.

I would take it if its free. Because I can fix it for under 250 and use it as a media player with headphones. So laugh.gif

Yeah. I take it in as a repairer. Not as an end user.
If I was an end user like you, I wouldnt want to deal with that pile of junk. But as a repairer, challenges like this will be fun. If you're an end user, just send it to an authorized repair shop or a reputable freelancer such as Gurvin.
