How, may I know? And SP80..is that the current Digi Postpaid 80 plan or another one?
Whoa...how come the last 2 weeks when I ported in to Digi from Celcom the Digi Store people didn't tell me about this plan at all?! They just said that I'm eligible to get RM10 rebate for 12 months bcuz I'm a port in customer, so essentially for a year I have to pay RM70 for 7GB + 3GB weekends + unlimited calls.
Hmm..so is this only offered at Digi Store Express only & not at Digi Store? sad.gif

Wondering if now I can change plan from my Digi 80 (7+3GB weekends) to this awesome plan...? Anyone knows?
*
For that Digi plan, it's that mean 3000MB divide by 4 weekends in a month you get 750MB for each weekend?

Hmm, didn't know that it was open to port in customer. These few screenshot dates back to 7th of July.

The 12GB and 16GB plan actually tied to 12 months contract.

If u dun mind....
U can use postpaid 80...
U can have 7GB all day + 3 GB weekend
+ rm10 8GB if not enough...
Or rm100 80GB

At least it is RM180 = 87GB for all days quota + 3GB weekend  instead of RM185 70GB1-7am type of split....

Of coz, im not sure whether we can buy multiple of rm10 8GB and the promotion will last how long...

Just my 2cents smile.gif

If you are a moderate streamer, watching only online TV for e.g, I think 69GB/30 days already sufficient enough.

Just sign-up for 12GB RM70 monthly for port-in customer only. Don't know why they charge RM78 + GST upon registration. blink.gif

Just enquired digi sunway. They said the rm70 plan is basically postpaid 80 plan with rm10 rebate for port-in customer. You can get 10gb without contract. Plus 2gb if you want with 12 month contract. I signed up on the spot
*
Yeah, it's actually a modified version of Postpaid 78.

Main quota: 7GB
Weekend quota: 3GB
Free quota: 2GB with 12 months contract

Total you get 12GB quota.

Monthly fees: 78 -(10) +2 = RM70

To be honest, if you really need a lot of data you can take umobile and your secondary line as their data is cheap and use Digi for calls.
*
Umobile internet plan looks so cheap but internet quality not so good compared to Digi.

Digi network can support more users than Celcom I guess. not forgetting mvno riding which could lead more congestion.

do u know how many mvno riding on Digi?
*
List of 3G MVNO riding on Digi network:

-Tron
-Xiddig (copy-cat of Tron mobile service)
-Speakout (will be riding on LTE network soon)
-Happy (less people used nowadays)

I only know Tron. the other 3 mvno never heard before.

Yeah, they are doing their bussiness 'quietly'. I think Happy prepaid is the first MVNO ever launched all over nation, if not mistaken around year 2008.

The way I see it, it's not about whether the plan is 'unfair'...it's about whether you consider the extra 2GB they give is worth it for a 12 month contract period. Forfeit the 2GB extra, you can just settle for 7GB+3GB weekend with no worries about contracts.
*
For those who memang used 12GB data monthly, so worth for them to take it. Monthly fees is considerably acceptable. biggrin.gif

Based on their coverage map, it is there. But looks limited coverage, may be at city center area.

If memory serves me right, Maxis and Celcom secured their 3G license in 2002. DiGi on the other hand lost the bid for 3G concessions license in 2006 to TimeDotCom and MiTV (know Umobile).

DiGi eventually gets TimeDotCom 3G license for roughly rm650million after agreeing to comply with foreign ownership rules (telenor reduced from 61% to 49%).

IMHO, things would've been different if TS Vincent Tan did not sell his stake in DiGi back in 1997 .....
*
Time dotCom previously also one of shareholder in Digi Telecommunication. Already just sell the share earlier on May this year.

I've just received a SMS from DigiRewards stating that free 888MB data can be claimed through MyDigi app.

However I don't see any 888MB add-ons inside the internet option. There are "8 available subscription" but all is chargeable. What should I do?
*
QUOTE(tympg @ Sep 20 2016, 12:45 PM)
Go to
http://new.digi.com.my/promotion/my-fiesta-postpaid

The instructions on how to claim the 888MB are there.
*
You need to purchase Digi Exclusive data add-on first before you are eligible to claim 888MB extra free data.
