Got a few questions here. Just been using UNIFI 30mb for 2nd day.

Is it correct to say that my speed is split into the number of devices connected? Say I have 4-5 devices connected, its all automatically capped to 7mb each?

Its weird that I have set in the D-Link Router (DIR-850L) that under QOS as the following:

Highest
PC

High
2nd PC

Medium
Handphone devices

How is it that my PC get the same Wifi connection speed of 7mb as all the rest of the devices connected? hmm.gif

I guess it's your router settings. My devices and laptop are having same speed and not divided equally.
*
It's quite strange as I didn't modify any router setting since the installation yesterday. I thought there was something wrong with the low speed which is why I set the QOS to fix it.

Anyways, i removed the QOS settings and now speed is back to normal rclxms.gif

Not all wireless adapters are created equal, some support 5ghz some don't.
Wireless N has support for 5 ghz. IIRC, 5ghz was introduced alongside wireless n

I just looked at the adaptor box and its frequency range only 2.4ghz. laugh.gif

I think panggilan national is refer to all kind telco line in our country. because they said beyond 600minutes tm fixed line with tm fixed line will be free of charge but mobile no and non tm fixed line will be charge 10sen/min. what do u understand from that..i mean from your opinion?from my understanding meaning all kind of call to all kind of line will be used the 600minutes right?

if they said only tm fixed line will be in the free 600minutes why they also charge me for that call?
*
QUOTE(ChrisWeiYuan @ May 8 2016, 10:36 PM)
The promotion stated that the first 600 minutes free voice call to all numbers. If it's beyond the 600 minutes. still free call for tm fixed line but flat rate for mobile numbers.

Btw, VoIP down. But internet is okay.ampang area.

There is no reboot button in the Dlink 850l in the admin page? Can't find it anywhere in the settings.

I have a strange issue here. On my Unifi 30, my TP-Link WN727N adaptor will automatically cap itself at 6MB download after few days. This will only be solved by unplugging and plugging it back again.

Do I need to send it back for warranty? Just bought it for 2 weeks only.

to avoid confusion...

mbps = mega bits per sec.
MBps = mega bytes per sec.
approx 8 bits = 1 byte.

if u r getting 6MBps with unifi 30, congrats!

or y mean it stops at 6MB? if so, check yr app settings.
u mean 30mbps; 1.8MBps.

with good seeds/peers, 30mbps can get u 3MBps with tm router.
with better router, caa get up to 3.7MBps, even on wifi.
*
Sorry i mean 6mbps. I am using my phone to compare speedtest and its showing 23-25mbps

After i unplug and plug in to other usb ports to test, the usb adaptor cannot reach back the full speed as previously sad.gif

I would assume it is download speed from Speedtest.

ok, ,aybe i misread... he should clarify then.
we all know if 30->6mbps, it can be one of many factors... new router... i doubt it.
*
Sorry if I confused you guys. I actually meant speedtest only. doh.gif

This is the speed is normally what happens after several days on the same adaptor:

This is the speed I normally get (currently im getting this speed after reinstall and unplugging several times. Previously need to do it once only)

user posted image

I just feel there is some bug somewhere which is causing Im not sure what because after several days, it WILL drop to exactly 6mbps only in speedtest rclxub.gif

ok, now i see what u mean... speed test... with wifi adapter.

not new router, not torrent.

that, i leave it to the wifi adapter pros to comment. biggrin.gif

u may want to mention what device the adaptor is plugged into when doing the speedtest - pc or...?
*
The wifi adaptor is connected to PC Win7 64bit when doing the speedtest. This happen after every few days or so since Unifi was installed during end of last month.

I am using another same exact wifi adaptor on another PC on Win7 32bit and that has zero issues.

And now its back to 6mbps speed again sweat.gif

Maybe try updating the firmware/driver of the adapter?
*
Thanks and I have tried that.

Woke up this morning and do a speedtest its was still 6mb/s. (speedtest.net and tm speed test)

Reconnect the wifi and it was back to normal speed 33mb/s.

Is it the wifi adaptor issue?

No special settings, I'm using Chrome and it is 1080p.
Moreover, it is not all the time 31Mbps la. 15-20Mbps is sufficient for 1080p lo.

It is also videos dependant, not all videos can get that speed.
*
I just realized all this while I was watching in 480p, I didn't set to 1080p in Youtube laugh.gif
