Hi guys
I recently upgraded 2 of my unifi accounts to 50 Mbps..
Tried doing numerous speedtests and the highest speed reached was 40.x Mbps (via wifi).. most consistent speed was in the 30-37Mbps range though.. have yet to tried with a wired connection
Both accounts are using Draytek Vigor 2130n
Is it due to the BTU? I'm still using this:

I remember reading somewhere (heck maybe in here) about some BTU not supporting some speed or something sweat.gif

I've the same BTU and my speed hovers at 52Mbps+-
Maybe you should consider changing to a better router.
*
Finally tried with a wired connection. Did numerous tests at speedtest.net, finally got the advertised speed for both accounts rclxm9.gif ... lowest was 50.x Mbps and highest was 53.x Mbps, upload 20.x Mbps

I guess I couldn't hit those speeds on wifi because the Vigor2130n wifi was configured as 'BGN mixed' instead of 'N only' mode? Managed to hit 40 Mbps using my iphone 5 though..

Just upgraded an account to unifi pro 100Mbps..
Upon arriving, the technician asked me to do a speed test with my current router (tplink WDR 4300)
He said if cannot get the proper speed he will have to change the router.. however I am pretty sure he would have to do some configuration from his end to TM to enable the speed.
So I did the speed test and only hit my usual VIP20 speed.
Then the technician changed my router to Innatech RGX4400, configured it using his laptop and all.. ran the speedtest, hit the right speed.
Technician left, I removed the RGX4400 and reuse my WDR4300, ran speedtest and now my router 'works properly'.. lol

Wahhhh. Mine still running 94mbps max. Fcuk TM now im upset.
*
Have you tried doing a speedtest using a different pc/network card?
During my installation, when the TM guy ran the test on his laptop (wired to the router), the speed was only 94-ish, then he took a pic of it and wrote on the installation document. I asked him why cannot get 100 Mbps? He said 'can but sometimes only'
Immediately I ran a speedtest on my desktop right in front of him, and BAMMM it hit the 100.x Mbps mark.
Did it numerous times, lowest speed I got was 99.x Mbps. No reaction from the guy though. laugh.gif

Which btu version u using ? Say if I wanna request for a new btu how ah ? Just call TM and say change btu ???
*
huawei hg8240w

I've been using this btu since my unifi VIP20 days... I have done account relocation (move to a different address) for this particular account 3 times, TM would give me a new btu and take the old one, except for the 1st ever btu (fiberhome model or something, installed when unifi debuted back in 2010); the contractor said I could keep it.

Received a call from 03-20704476 on wednesday (25 May)
The lady on the line said
"sir you are using unifi vip20 right"
at this point I assumed it's a telemarketer, doesn't have to be from TM since I've been getting spam sms from celcom promoting their broadband..

I replied no I am using unifi pro plan
"oh you already upgrade"
yes and I have 2 more unifi accounts, advance plan (just want to cut her off and end the conversation, lol)

"how is the speed on your advance 30" she asked

no I am using advance 50.. I have 3 accounts. 100, 50, 50

"oh you are using 50... we are doing a survey.. how is the speed on your unifi accounts"

I replied so far so good, no complains.

Then she said thank you and ended the call.

I'm not even sure if that call was really from TM, I googled the number but no clear results.

Hey everyone I'm having problem with my HyppTV since April and I've been calling TM every Friday about the same problem. Nothing seems to change. Anyone have the same problem as me? How do I report to KPDNKK or MCMC/SKMM or CFM?
Tldr:I subscribed to Aneka Pack but I can't watch it and I'm still paying for it

received my first ever bill after upgrading tor unifi pro plan... cilaka tm put there RM200 'installation charge' (+RM12 gst)
installer come give me new router (that I don't use) suka suka wanna claim installation charge? lol
during my application to upgrade at tm point I was even told that it's free since it's a straightforward upgrade from my vip20
straightaway I disputed the charge.. gonna take them 15 days or so to 'investigate'

Interesting rumour I heard today during my regular weekend breakfast session with my 'xiong di'.

Apparently, there is an agent (not TM themselves) going around the Bukit Damansara, Seri Hartamas and Mont Kiara areas offering RM30 discounts off the Advance 50 and Advance Pro 100 packages for 3 years, BUT only if they sign up in groups of 3 or more.

Can anyone living in those or similarly affluent areas corroborate this?

Wonder if this is a sign of things to come.

my father in law was offered RM229 to upgrade from vip20 to advance 50.. the usual 2 years contract. location bukit damansara.

What speed are you guys getting on your 100mbps connection? I'm getting around 93-94mbps on lan in the unifi speed test. Should i complain?
*
Speed as advertised most of the time.. lowest was 98.x, but that's just on speedtest.. when I dl from realdebrid it will reach max speed biggrin.gif
Besides using speedtest.net, I use a software called DU Meter to monitor the speed.
