* who got cables connection into sponsors?

But who would sponsor?

Lets face it companies are not that interested in the 360.. sad.gif

Gameaxis can probably sponsor but this is too big of an event...maybe..Samsung can since Djinn using their products.. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

I'm checking with my fren, which owns a CC at klang if we could borrow 1/3 of his place for X360 event.
If jadi, then it would really be cool. Coz all infrastructure is already there.
So keep ya fingers cross.

Well the Cyber Games is considered the "Olympics" of gaming in my mind thats bull...yes the amount of skill is undoubtedly of the highest caliber...the greatest players in the world go up against one another but the fact that consoles are regarded as secondary here ticks me off. Yes there were console games at the WCG but DOA 4 AND nfs??? Cmon....if they do not put Gears on this years event it just proves the PC gmer biasness.
*
Games that are selected in WCG are mostly choosen by those Korean fellas, not by gamers eventhough they have a yearly poll on which games will be selected. That's why u see so many RTS games in there & lesser shooters nowadays.

QUOTE(ron4 @ Jan 14 2007, 01:50 PM)
Actually DOA4 and Halo series (1 & 2). They choose the most popular game of the year i think,. So IMHO in 2007 the game that will be choosen are GoW & Halo 3.

And one more thing why Malaysia never send team in console game (xbox)?.

Only saw PC games listed. More info here http://my.worldcybergames.com
*
IMO, they choose the games that will show off the Xbox's graphical powers. Thus when the 360 was used in WCG, no more Halo 2 since it was an old Xbox game and in came PGR3 & DOA4. So, I think most definitely GOW will be in WCG this year.

Malaysia don't send players for Xbox games coz it's not officially launched here. Blame MS for that.

Well selective gaming is considered a big no-no in western societies...lets face it Korean gamers enjoy playing MMORPGs and RTSs for hours on end and as cannavaro said they spend hours on end PLAYING THE SAME BLEEDING GAME!!!!!

They need to pump new blood into WCG otherwise it will be considered as a PC gamer tournament and not World Cyber GAMES.Notice the word "Games".

well, WCG did start off as a PC only tournament, then the sponsors came in, and you know the drill. So maybe we can get some sponsors and bring in the X360 into malaysia, most likely MS must be involved in some way..
