The DEMO is available for free on Steam now , testing out the graphic options.

The performance seems to have improved a lot from the silly benchmark , screenshots taken with highest setting on QHD , FPS seem to stay on 60 fps most of the time , at least in the starting zones of the demo . Hairwork off ( Of course lol )

Major improvement from the PS4 PRO version that's for sure

demo is 18gb ~ , took me roughly 50 minutes to complete the DL.
The final game install size is 155gb + , but you will likely not have to download the whole 155GB .

Everything will be compressed . So to be realistic , I do say expect at least 70gb ish of download , so roughly 3 hours if you are on 50mbps like me , ~ 1.5 hours if you are on 100mbps.


Again , after you finished your downloads your pc will still probably take another hour or so to unpack and install the game

So really , no rush


There are no game mods at the moment . Let's hope the community make some good ones post-release



If you are asking me about the quality game , I am not exactly a fan of it . I have beaten it on PS4 , but I am glad to see so many Malaysian are involved in the development.
However I still cannot recommend the game to anyone , game still feel unfinished after 2 years of patching and DLC . I am still getting it because I would love to see more Malaysian involved in the makings of AAA games

Oh no , don't be tricked by the book's cover .

Only half of the game is open world , the other half of FF15 is unfinished , rushed , loosely tied , extremely linear with some of the worst presentation I have ever seen in a RPG of recent years.


Open world doesn't make a game better , the FF team's creative well has run dry ages ago .
FF15 practically bring nothing new on the table , but insisted it has caught up with the open world trend but in reality they are still a decade behind


Although I still think the game is worth checking out , at the very least.

Try not to hop on the nostalgia train when you are playing new games especially for Final Fantasy . The old Squaresoft we used to love　practically doesn't exist anymore.

Ｉ was a big fan of FF12 , the ending of the game seems rushed but overall the game was fun to play .

I love the gambit system and non-encounter combat system . Fact that it has a lot of hunts and endgame content , searching for all the hidden Espers was a great experience , reseting games and loading screen to respawn treasure chest too .


The 100 trials that come with the IZJS version was very challenging as well . In general FF12 is considered a classic by many , FF15 on the other hand....is disappointing .

I feel you bro . FFXV 's experience on PS4 PRO was such a major let down as well .The fact that FFXV won't ever be running on 60 fps on console and suffering major dips in crowded city and certain area , the game feels choppy when it drops down to 30 fps from 40-50

I have heard the recent patches have fixed that by adding a new 30FPS locked mode , but I didn't have time to check that out .

Hopefully the final PC version will do much better than that .



P/S : On a side note the Preloading on STEAM have just started . I wonder if GMG is going to release the keys early . They usually give out the keys on launch date

SquareEnix is merely publishing Nier Automata , but they don't make the game . Nier:Automata is developed by Platinum games who are known for Vanquish , Devil May Cry (Hideki Kamiya) & Bayonetta series , yes its a fantastic game on its own

P/S : Preloading the game on steam will also remove the FFXV demo , watch out

UPDATE : Looks like SquareEnix has screwed up again , FFXV is just one disaster after another . Apparently they have announced DRM in the form of Denuvo in FF15 and a certain Jack Sparrow group found method to unlock the full game with DEMO.exe , since the DEMO doesn't has Denuvo , the entire forum is filled with complaints

I can't actually disclose much of the issues without breaking the regulation here , but there are a lot of info on the steam forum , so yea feel free to check that out .

Powerful data compression techniques can make a lot of miracles out of files with large size
However I was reading somewhere the game will require additional download of 4k Texture for the total installation size of 150+ , which is not yet released


The High res texture pack is around 64 gb according to the coughpiratescough

Did the transaction went through ? Make sure it did . You should receive an automated email response after that

If you did not receive anything , maybe the transaction did not happen at all . Also by default all cards do not allow oversea transaction , make sure you call your bank to enable it

Well its another trainwreck for Square Enix

At first they were expecting 10 millions copies of sales in order to make profit, but it was a massive disappointment because the Japanese aren't buying the game.

I think it has sold a total of 6-7 millions of console copies right now and they are expecting 2 more millions from the sales of PC release. Pirates unlocking the game earlier than actual game owners the will no doubt have a very severe effect on the sales as well as the brand's reputation .


For the entire day , the forum on steam is going out of control filling with hatred and angry complaints. This is happening because preloaded games on Origins are never encrypted , Square Enix might not have much experiences releasing games on the Origins platform


Let's just say they are in Hot , Deep sh*t right now

Someone has already beaten it , as it is the full game downloaded from Electronic Art's Origin .
Again none of the DLC are cracked so all DLC episodes , content and the Comrade online play are unavailable to the pirates

Steam's version remains uncracked

You did not miss out much really . The game is still selling for RM 155 ish on gmg , still dramatically cheaper than Steam's offer


FFXV , at its core is still a single player RPG

The comrades DLC , is merely something extra for you do after you beat the game .
Its not going to be comparable to a full fledged MMO GAME , content wise

Also , don't confuse 100 mbps with 100 mb download per second .
One is bytes and one is bit .


Downloading at 100 mb /sec = 800mbps connection

It is not yet released I believed . PC physicals version tend to get delayed for many games due to the obvious reason ( Like early unlocks etc etc , though in this case they screwed up lulz )

So yea the best way to play this is still via digital downloads , as of now
