Personally, i cap myself at 5 years per rig, by the time it gets to 5 years ill let them go. I'd hate to take the trouble of diagnosing which component is faulty when time comes. So even still working perfectly, i don't have to witness the death of my rigs which is both sad and troublesome. THus i never considering upgrade each component, just buy the best i can at that time, then change it all when time comes.
RGB PSU is the only thing im not interested in at all... i prefer hiding them in a shroud, and all my cases has them, cable management purposes. I like my rig clean...

I like to set a "life date" on all the things i use, gadgets, cars, etc, and i replace them prior to waiting for them to breakdown. Makes my budgeting alot easier if i can predict those things, especially medium>major budgeted stuff. That way i can play out next 10 years budgeting easily. And just revise as needed without unexpected breakdown cost and trouble. Especially now that i don't work anymore and don't have a fixed income, this works out best for me =)

Troubleshooting PSU is the only thing i hate the most, coz there's too many variables and a pain in the ass to pinpoint exactly.

Very good budgeting lesson learnt from Japanese management =)

I mean, i do like RGB, that said i never use anything apart from white/red lol. But PSU.. meh...

I can tag you next time i decide to sell them xD

5 years is the sweet spot of selling stuff. Maybe less as tech advances, i may buy newer one as new tech emerges(if its worth the performance changes), but generally, anything less than 5 years, still not worth selling as it should still be performing well(assuming you buy the best of that gen). More than 5 years, might as well give away. At 5 years point, should be the sweet spot to sell, given that it has perform to its full value to you.

what resolution/fps are you going after? is your rig as your signature?

FYI, on a single 1080ti+8700k i cant lock 60fps down @ max setting on 1440p.

i would assume, on your rig, the most optimal setting for 60fps would be medium with all nvidia gameworks turned off @ 1080p. If you're comfortable with 30fps, then you can turn them up a notch.

But yes, FFXV is rather demanding, if not the most demanding in all games available in market so far. Personally, i find the tax on the rig justifiable given the fidelity of the game's graphic.

Please put spoiler tag. Common sense not to spoil other players.

Some butthurt people will report your post.

reverse search seems to indicate that its a fan-art.

http://emy-san.tumblr.com/

seems to be cool if its in game though. EP Ignis had an alternate ending, would be nice if Prompto had that too.
