game is quite heavy on my cpu and ram, hahaha

8x-9x% on CPU (i5-3470)
84% on RAM (8GB)

and that's just chapter 1. later on with the smokes etc pretty sure RIP..

really have to upgrade already
*
You're lucky you can still run it on 8GB ram and a 3rd gen i5 haha.

The heaviest part of the game (even with nvidia turf turned off), are still Greenery. The game fps starts to drop whenever you're somewhere that has lush green landscapes. Everywhere else even fights and heavy scenes are okay on my rig.

Yeah lucky me.

6 hours in at chapter 1. Sometimes CPU hit 100%. I'm starting to think my CPU will die halfway through the game, hahaha.

Honestly, with all due respect, i have to say that im very impressed with Luminous Engine and designer of FFXV itself. Bravos to you guys.

Given the graphical quality, the tax on GPU is, at least to me, very reasonable and i would say one of the best optimized ports ever on PC.

It is an honor that PC is finally being given respect it is due and be presented with a version that contains all the glory of GFX.

Based on most review and feedbacks, most modern latest gen GPU(1060 above), should be able to handle the game fine at reasonable resolutions and eye candy + framerates above PS4. If you aren't, i doubt its an issue with the game, rather, it could be your rig, hardwares/optimization/softwares/drivers issue etc most likely.

They still need to give us a PC patch to fix the "Summons giving us 15-20FPS" per session issue.

Ah this guy, he's nice enough to be contributing in gaming community, he has lots of other works elsewhere too. But serious attitude problem, lately purposedly break a game(prefer not to mention, not FFXV/Nier) coz some guy pissed him off.

Always "Save" when you go Fishing / Use Summon in this game and you'll be fine.

not that much different in storyline, massive graphical enhancements, yes. Some additional cutscenes in main story and extra optional dungeons and arbinger unleashed corresponding to ps4's "Royal Edition". Thats all.

Yeah working adult, if not flagship graphics card or even graphics card itself would have been just a dream.

Time in gaming does not seem to matter to me anymore. There are so many things to take care of thesedays...
As long as i get to play im happy already.

May i know what kinda pc setup would be affected?
Could it be that they render too many polygons thats not even on screen?

I have had dealing with this guy before . Let's just say it was quite a nightmare.

I can hardly call him contributing to the community anymore after all the fiasco he has caused .
Right now I don't use his mods , I mostly wait until the Russian takes his mods and " unlock " it. It isn't ethical but not like he give you any chance to explain yourself.

This guy mostly lurks around the jRPG and Japanese game ports , which he will eventually release some fixes and game mods earlier than the game DEV .
While some of them are definitely helpful , but a lot of them are hit and miss .

The other day , one of his group subscribers was asking (politely , might I add ) if he has time to release and update for a project he started on , the poor guy was kicked from of the group because he was in bad mood.

Also the fact that some of his mods force its way into your rig and refuse to get uninstalled , downright unprofessional.

P/S : Many of his mods a, for eg ; the stuttering fixes in ToB and subtitles desync fixes on FFX - 2 were NOT working well . But if you try to tell him that , good luck not getting blacklisted. Arrogance and ignorance in one package doh.gif

its not about rendering or anything like that at all. Its just a bug with the game itself, many are affected if not all i might say. In a battle where you trigger a summon, everything works fine, no drop on my FPS at all. Right after battle ends FPS drops to 20 or so and stays there permanently unless you restart the game. Which is really annoying.

Reports coming from all kind of specs in Steam discussion page, lower end GTX770 and my setup is 7700k + 1080ti, same issue on my HTPC too, Ryzen 7 + Vega64, and for testing sake, my lounge PC 6700k + Titan XP (maxwell, 2015) and finally my laptop 6700HQ + 1050ti. I don't think it could be so coincidental that all my rigs are affected by the same bug apart from having different hardware setups.

Yeah, hope SE will fix it asap, as the summon issue is rather tiring, especially if a summon is needed on a boss and its a long way to go before the next savepoint. You'll have to bear 20fps till you're able to save.

I dig a little deeper into the summon issues . It looks like the summon models ( like Ramuh ) their animation is capped at 30 fps .
Post summon , the game somehwat made an adjustment to re-sync the game back into 30 fps , yet somehow it doesn't work well for the PC version because we pretty much have unlocked Frame rate ( 120 is the cap to be exact , won't go any higher )

The stalkers on steam have noticed SquareEnix have been testing several "test builds " on the test server in the last few days . An update shouldn't be too much further

But right after summon, its always 17-20 fps, not even 30. And it isnt Ramuh only, all other summons presents the same issue, however, the animation was fine at 60fps during animation. Oh well, at least its good to hear a fix is on its way.

Another issue i encountered is flickering grasses, only happen when upscaled (125% reso above). 100% on my 4k or 1440p is fine.

Maybe I was streaming so sometimes the crash possibility is there. I had like over 30+ gameplay hours too.
