Being linked with bundesliga players is way better than being linked with overrrated british crap...Dalglish and rodgers really ruined the transfers of this club by buying rubbish with our dumb fans supporting blindly....I trust that klopp is an intelligent guy and wont target british players for the next two windows at least.

err Ben Chillwell being targeted as well.. though he's far from overrated british crap
*
Buying from the likes of aston villa southampton and sunderland has made liverpool midtable whether you realize it or not...Stoke on the other hand who bought some barca rejects are having one of their best seasons in epl...

Ben chillwell is another big fish in a small pond...Leicester may win the title but they will be found out next season with little squad depth...

if all three of henderson milner and lallana happen to start on friday,i think we can expect a 2-0 loss at least...

With firmino, chances of losing is probably less....
Most likely 2-1 to dortmund.

I actually feel bad for benitez now...Regardless of poor he has been in recent years,he shouldn't have stooped to the level of newcastle...
He is gonna struggle to get a top club after this.

Irregardless, what he has achieved as a manager is still beyond the dreams of many.

Bad result for Magpies today, but I wouldn't write them off just yet.
*
He has been making poor decisions in terms of choosing clubs...He was doomed to fail as soon as he took the madrid job especially with donaldo there..
now he takes newcastle...mind boggling

His reputation as a poor man manager precedes him.As it is no top club chairman wants to go near him...My best bet would be for him to go somewhere like PSG.He would be given the resources and the player power isn't as bad as in spain or england.Otherwise i don't think rafa will ever recover.

after the sackings at inter milan and real madrid, cash and a top job is probably the last thing on his mind now

he already has the reputation of a lousy manager. between klopp and benitez earlier this year, im fkin glad we got klopp. been a fan of benitez since his valencia days but im not so sure anymore since his last season with us

he's probably prepared to stick with newcastle even if they do go down. it's time to stick to basics and build his reputation again. newcastle have a really good base and they will easily bounce back up to epl the following season
*
I am pretty sure he will be sacked at newcastle sooner or later.if you think hicks and gilette were bad, mike ashley is even worse...He sells their top players and doesnt reinvest the money.Their fans are dumb as they support blindly....At least lfc got rid of h&g.

If i were benitez i would quit at the end of the season and look for a proper club that has resources.

I used to be allen's fiercest critic. Now i am willing to stand up and admit that he is an important player in our team now...His past few performances have been xavi-esque.
His turnaround is nothing short of remarkable and seems like a completely different animal now...

How joe allen turned around his career i'll never understand....It has got to be up there with istanbul...

Klopp is a magician but he does make some selection mistakes....I still think liverpool are second favourites to Sevilla....They are the best team in europa this season and have been for the past two seasons.

The most important thing now is to install a new captain...The current joker has never been good enough for lfc...I hope we have seen the last of him in the red shirt...God forbid he comes back for the europa final...He'll ruin all the hardwork klopp put in...

Speaking of candidates i think Can is the obvious choice....Sakho would be a good choice as well...He has more passion and enthusiasm than most of our english players.

looking at klopp im sure the captain has to be english
*
I can understand captain having to be scouse but not english...Most people outside liverpool generally hate scousers...How could they have the same passion as scousers?Doesn't make sense to see only english captain.

A captain is someone who can inspire his team out of nothing...We saw that in Can and sakho yesterday...Don't let racism ruin this club...It ruined the club in 2011 when kenny acted on his british bias.I hope klopp is smart enough to not let this repeat.

Leicester not winning today is good in a way...At least they'll do their best at old trafford to win the title.

QUOTE(koolspyda @ Apr 23 2016, 12:32 AM)
We had many great footballers at LFC, back in the 70s, 80s, keegan, dalglish, rush, McDermott, case, neal, alan & ray kennedy, cleamence, souness, Aldridge, Barnes, Nicol, molby, lee, beardley etc

All good talent, it was professionals all the way but never, never ever pissed at Liverpool once their time came to end.

I know even mcmanaman who left LFC in a disputed. circumstances appears to be quite friendly about all things Liverpool these days. Why didn't they do it back then?

I know some said it OK Owen joined Manu since it's after RMadrid and we shd get over it (hotly debated topic on FB calling those anti Owen fans as being deluded sad.gif  )

Sigh

I get it if players need to move on for greener pastures but don't la drag LFC by leading the club to a false hope.

Torres gets more stick for wanting and leaving lfc from many fans based in UK (judging from fb LFC post) than of possibly hitting out on Owens 'betrayal'
Side note: unbelievable debate ringing around many LFC FB sites. Since our game with Newcastle and klopp & daglish welcoming our ex gaffer in open arms (with positive praises crediting rafa benitez past work n contributions to LFC)

Yet, we have a host of anti rafa LFC fans, calling him (RB) a fraud & calling his achievements a fluke (esp Istanbul).

Even to the extend saying 'someone' else that came later is far better manager and is better in promoting youth. (Wait, let me laugh first, hahahaha)

They won't let up and continue to diss and slime RB's achievements. Unbelievable.
*
I don't think fans hate rafa with a passion...It's more like they disagree with cult like behaviour of rafa supporters...Most of you believe that rafa is the greatest manager in modern era when the simple fact is that he isn't.There are those who have done better than him in recent times and he hasnt been a 'top top manager' for some time now.

On top of that most of you cant move on from his time and have been trying to sabotage every manager discreetly who took over from him.

Please give klopp a chance and don't start the ringing sacking bells soon.

says the person who has criticized every single manager since rafa...

I criticize because i want the club to improve not because i have a gripe with the club for not bringing benitez back.Big difference there.

If you think rafa is bigger than lfc,the newcastle thread is that way >>>

you're gonna step on many ppl's toes with your reply, coz every liverpool manager(including rafa) received all the support, backing and criticism, even from rafa diehard fans. klopp is also going through the same thing.

you need to understand the reason behind rafa's cult following. it wasn't just purely down to silverware, it was his passion for the club. he made lp number 1 in europe heck the most feared team in europe, he made anfield a fortress, he revamped our academy, until today we are still reaping the rewards, he even donated to hillsborough fund. he was the fan's champion, the only person in liverpool fc at that time to walk to talk. many of us are rafa fans because we appreciate all that he has done but we all also know that nobody is bigger than liverpool fc not even rafa. come tonight we'll welcome him with open arms, we'll sing him the praises he rightly deserves but without a doubt we will be supporting liverpool fc to win this game coz UCL is waiting for us the real kings of europe and our new general klopp to spearhead the way forward.

I disagree with several things you said especially on the academy part but lets not go into there...
My problem is not rafa himself but rather his supporters..

I am of the opinion that part of the fanbase are not whole-heartedly supporting klopp and are waiting for the right time to stick the knife into him..They are hoping for rafa to be back because they think he has unfinished business here.Only time will tell if i am right or talking nonsense...

No secret that mignolet has to be replaced along with the midfield this summer...I don't understand people berating klopp for the draw...Top 4 was realistically gone after the southampton game...He is right to prioritize europa league.

Leicester is 1 win away to be crowned champion... Wow, so now other teams dont have any excuses (about money, marquee signings etc.) anymore. A relegation battled team in past season can be champion with peanut investment... I hope they really become a champion this weekend... What a surprise. I though Reneiri spoke too soon about Pochettino but turns out to be a positive mind game and benefit to them.

When can we celebrate this kind of moment... Hope it is not far from now...
*
How sweet can it be..Leicester win the Premier League at Old trafford and at the same time end united's top 4 hopes.
