Can't argue with the Villarreal lineup for not playing Sturridge but the last 3 games? Against Newcastle he started 9 starters out of 11. The players let him down, maybe tactics but definitely not his selection. As for the Stewart/Chirivella pairing, as I've said in a previous post, it's a problem if he decidedly went for this pairing when all of Can/Hendo/Allen/Lucas are fit and ready to play but right now with Lucas and Allen our only remaining fit midfielders, he doesn't really have a choice unless you expect them to play 90 minutes 2 matches a week every week. It's clear our squad is struggling to cope with the injuries and suspension.
