Moyes' Everton has actually finished in top 4 once and even when they didn't they were always contenders for it, often finishing just outside in 5th or 6th. Martinez also had far more money to spend. Much like his time at Wigan, he can't organize a defence to save his life.

well, when you got a sheikh sugar daddy funding your team, can't blame the supporters turn into "we want instant success". There are reasons why they're called "the bitters". Especially now that they've got the moolah, i'm sure they're much more bitter.

I believe this guy is not cheap right? IIRC, his release clause was over 25 m?

15m Euros is the announced price. Massive bargain for such a big talent.

Frank de Boer has also announced his resignation from Ajax. Think Everton will move for him. Big upgrade over Martinez.

Liverpool are keen on signing the World Cup winner, with Klopp nurturing Götze during their years at Dortmund together, and the arrival of Dembele in a reported £28million deal could suggest that the German side will not pursue the Bayern midfielder.

SOS?

That rubbish figure was only quoted because we were linked yesterday. Only when English clubs are linked you get quoted with these figures. How reliable is the 15m Euros figure Dortmund announced? BVB being a public listed company is legally obliged to disclose such information to shareholders. So yeah 15m Euro figure should be accurate, there might be addons though.

Yeah, the interesting part is, with this signing, Gotez no longer under BVB's rader, he might have to get out of german after being told he can leave BM. Wonder how much we gonna pay to get him.

Yup, BVB were initially interested but interest has faded with increasing supporter backlash. Certainly doesn't help that Hummels moved to Bayern too, they don't like their traitors.

We also have an undercover agent in Xabi at Bayern. Hopefully Xabi can help sway Goetze our way. biggrin.gif

Dembélé’s transfer to Dortmund is €15m + a possible €37m in bonuses. Maximum would be €52m

This is more like it. Seem to be the trend these days. A rather reasonable fee upfront plus lots of addons for these potential superstar youngsters. If they flop the investment isn't that big anyway but if they fulfill their potential the addons will be well worth it.
