Yes, if you are using 3G or HSDPA. But if your connection either EDGE or GPRS, normally you can't receive any call.
sometime edge can, but gprs absolutely not

Got a few Qs for the Internet2Go (I2G) users out there, please help;

1) What is your speedtest results and your location during day/night?
2) Are you able to torrent at any time? what's you Max/Min  speed during day/night?
3) What about your latency results? Gaming performance? Are able to connect to "all" the game server?
4) What is your recommended package?

Please feel free to drop your comments here...

1). Depends on the location. Mine sometime got 384kbps (3G). sometime got 1-2Mbps (HSDPA).
2). Yes. Min 0KBps (if not torrent hehehe). Max 40KBps (3G). sometime 100KBps (HSDPA)
3). Latency is worth. For gamers, im not recommend for Maxis Internet2Go.
4). If you are mobile user, then Internet2go is the best. else go for streamyx + VPN.

Internet2Go (I2G) is actually for those with Maxis 3G simcard, therefore you need to be an existing mobile user or u subscribed to a new line with I2G... that is as far as i know unless they've new package launching... i've asked this thru the counter at KLCC about 2 weeks ago.
Hope that clears your doubt.

I'm on USB WBB at the moment, thinking of switching to I2G, may i know what aircard (izzit the one @ ur signature?) and I2G package you r using?
I've heard mixed review for those who are using mobile phone with HSDPA vs. AirCard (Sierra/AT&T).  hmm.gif

no need to register as mobile phone user. u can subscribe the Data package only without voice.
my friend has registered for the data package (I2G) without the voice.

Wow...can't even get a straight answer from Maxis.  So, which is which?  Can you sign up for the data only unlimited 3G package only, whatever they call this package nowadays?  I don't need the voice feature, I just want to try out Maxis 3G offering  rclxub.gif

Just go straight to the maxis (better go to the KLCC) . If the package not change then you can have it. maxis always change their package smile.gif hehehe ...
Fyi, my friend had registered the package last 2 months (on august if i'm not mistaken).

Please make sure you double check with Maxis.
I did this. exactly the same method. Applied for multisim and attached the unlimited data package MR99 with the secondary card.
All my SIM card have the same number, you can make call using difference phone but using the same number.....So I used my secondary card as my Internet line (unlimited data)

But after three days, I checked my account, the amount charged by maxis was Rm2800++. I was shocked. ...
then called maxis .....then asked them why i had been charged for that amount. I did mentioned that i did subscribed for the unlimited data for the main number (which was my main line) on the secondary card...but.. I did mentioned to them that the secondary sim was used for the unlimited internet connection.

Guess??? what they said....

The unlimited data was subscribed for the main number (main sim card) and not for the second sim card (actually the second sim was using the same number too).

So, my line was barred. I cannot make any calls. Since I really want to use to line. I cancelled everything and applied for difference number and difference sim card.

The problem, I have to pay for the RM2800++, because they said I need to apply for both sim cards ...for unlimited sim.
So my case was brought up too the SKMM. I was not satisfied with MAXIS....the case was dragged me for 4 months...and finally...maxis gave back my money RM2800+++......

So, I would like to advice to anybody who is interested to do multisim..or what so ever... please double check with maxis...

The SKMM told me that my case was the 1st one.. happen last year..since that day...maxis has introduced maximum charges for pay-per-use data..
SKMM did also told me that Maxis faced abnormality in their billing system..especially if you subscribe for the multisim or what so ever...

That all...

If you want to see the letter everything..documentation made by me..sent to SKMM, Maxis etc.. private me.. this is a true story...
