hi hi everyone,.
i am new just join to this maxis unlimited family, this is my speed test in penang at penang road using Huawei E270 ( HSPA 7.2mbps DL and 2mbps UL ) usb modem, ![]() ![]() speedtest with Dlink DWM151 HSDPA 3.6mbps DL and 384kbps UL ![]() ![]() speedtest with ZTE MF627 HSDPA 3.6mbps DL and 384kbps UL ![]() ![]() as u all can see from result , the multi sim do work fine with ZTE and Dlink usb modem, for as for Dlink DWM151 the ping is not really good,.. and ZTE MF627 ping is way better and yet stable,.. So is big different when u using HSDPA / HSUPA / HSPA / HSPA+ as in penang Georgetown Area maxis have HSPA everywhere,. will need HSPA+ modem to try out whether how far the speed can go,.. those 3.6mbps HSDPA modem been flash to 7.2mbps will only achieve as far as 3.6mbps only,. if u want to achieve more, u need HSUPA / HSPA / HSPA + usb modem,.. ( as my ZTE MF627 i flash it from 3.6mbps to 7.2mbps, ) hope this tips can help some one out there,.. Added on June 3, 2011, 4:15 pm QUOTE(leecwai @ Apr 21 2011, 08:14 PM) Am using Mobile Partner, but i can't find an option to make auto reconnect when disconnected... anyone can recommend ? any tips ? i am using the mobile partner too,. but always disconnectedAny clue? QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 4 2011, 11:34 PM) There is but no longer offered to new subscribers. This plan has been discontinued since 2009, it is only for the people who signed up this plan before it got discontinued. frutie, since u are using the 3G router with your usb modem ? is it more stable when using in this way and better than plug usb modem direct to computer ? |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 5 2011, 01:00 PM) So far nothing happens and Maxis has no intention to revoke this plan, so please don't jinx us. thanks for tips, i will go to look for 3G HSPA router,. hope it stable and auto reconnect too,. yea wireless is convenien and easy,I find it more convenient for me as it auto reconnects every time it gets disconnected. I'm not sure if something wrong with me, I do find it a bit faster. Not forgetting the convenience of using WiFi too, I can easily connect to Internet when I'm on iPad. this afternoon speed test ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by chuahcs79: Jun 5 2011, 05:28 PM |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 5 2011, 11:28 PM) Touch wood, so far nothing happens to my router yet. I'm in PJ by the way. fruite,Probably my room is so hidden that the lightning can't reach. I don't switch off my router, it is almost turned on 24/7 unless I need to go back to hometown, then I have no choice to turn it off. So far, it is running well, 9 months already and still good. *touch wood* what kind of model of Aztech router u use ? does it support HSPA ? |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 5 2011, 11:33 PM) I think we need to put a stop on this, this thread is not for this kind of trading. wow, in this case i think i really need to get 1,. i just worries one thing that when maxis have the HSPA+ network then i scare this router might not support up to HSPA+ ,... it should be coming soon HSPA+ right fruite ?Aztech HW 550-3G. Click here Yes, it supports HSPA. It is quite cheap nowadays, less than RM 100. Added on June 5, 2011, 11:35 pm Not sure, probably my house is not located at high areas and prone for lightning. FYI, my room is really hidden that I can't see sunlight, hear noise or anything. |
