Coincidentally, my phone also hang on Sunday. I reboot it myself and that fixed the problem. Yesterday, my brother's phone hang also, but rebooted itself.

When I say hang, I can't interact properly with the phone. But still managed to select restart.
*
Normally this is caused by rogue apps running in the background, slowing down your phones to a crawl. If you are very sure that it is not caused by rogue apps / updates, then it may be reason to worry.

Any reception or data freeze issues on this s7 edge?
*
Nope. Reception and data connection is stellar.

QUOTE(jsflim @ Mar 22 2016, 01:34 PM)
sounds like a lot hanging issue around
*
So far no issues for me on my S7 Edge. Let's just hope it's just software bugs / running background apps and NOT hardware issues for those experiencing hanging issues. hmm.gif

Same here.

Pity those with hang issue. Hope it's just software-related for them and things will get better.

Lol what the fuss with battery life. Tbh, i dont think S7 can beat 6s plus but the battery life can considered decent enough for average users usage.
*
I've use the iPhone 6S Plus for a few months too. In that period, comparing the same usage patterns and my current S7 Edge, the S7 Edge is far better.

Of course, we have to factor in that the 6S Plus, there are two different processors for different production batches. If you are lucky enough to get the TSMC processor, your battery life should be good, perhaps nearly equal to the S7 Edge. But if you are unlucky and get the Samsung processor, your battery life will be much worse.

In the market, majority of 6S Plus use Samsung processor unfortunately, and 6S uses TSMC.

Came from iphone 6s plus, personally I think it is about the same.

iPhone 6s plus can stay at 100% for very long whereas s7 drop to 99% in just 5-10 minutes of usage. But total SOT imo is about the same.
*
Exactly. thumbsup.gif

The Doze feature in Marshmallow is still behind iPhone's superb standby low-battery drain. But when it comes to actual usage of the phone, both are quite similar. The IPS display on the iPhone also tends to save more battery life for web-surfing which is mostly on white backgrounds, as compared to the Super AMOLED display on the S7 edge.

guys, anyone can share spigen ultra hybrid crystal gold color with black onyx, tempted to get but wanna see the color combination before decide. thanks.
*
Have you considered the Spigen Crystal Shell? Apparently the lips at each corner are more pronounced than Ultra Hybrid so it may provide even better protection against drops.

I'm considering to get this at the moment.

Do review and share with us. If the edges doesn't peel off, I believe it would be the best in the market for S7 edge already.

got the call, but only 1 year warranty... asked about extended, he said to call customer service...
well, honestly I dont know why they called as they already sent SMS for 1 year warratny...
*
I honestly don't see a reason for them to call? Perhaps because many owners are constantly naggin them about it? laugh.gif

Samsung FB did mention in one of their comment replies that we should be getting the 2nd SMS for the extended 1 year warranty within 1 month after S7 edge Msia launch.

So just be patient guys. biggrin.gif

Yes, Google Now does have a noticeable effect on battery drain. I normally turn it off for my Android phones cause of battery hit. But with S7 edge's superb battery performance, can consider to use it again. innocent.gif

either naked / with pouch

trust me the sp will come out no matter how , the curve edge is too curvy

honest feedback from s6 edge user LOL

thats the reason why i dont sell sp yet LOL
*
Use naked dangerous, bro. Forumers here earlier mentioned got hairline scratches when using certain Samsung phones naked including S6 edge, etc. hmm.gif

Love the Samsung Flat-type Wireless Fast Charger. Doesn't heat up the S7 edge much even with fast wireless charging enabled. No regrets getting it while waiting for the Stand-type version. thumbsup.gif

The LED changes to green after full-charge too, so you know it's full already.

how long does it take to fully charge with that??
*
Not sure. I normally charge when the S7 edge is at about 30-40% battery level. I reckon perhaps it will take 3 hours to charge from zero to full with fast wireless charging enabled.

QUOTE(cielBleu @ Mar 22 2016, 07:54 PM)
oooh.. matte SP looks so good... hows the screen quality? same or some color degradation?
*
QUOTE(squall_kay @ Mar 22 2016, 08:06 PM)
Wow...the screen... Really nice. How about the back, also matte?
*
Not matte SP bro. This is Clear Coat (clear version). It's using some PET film thingy (IIANM) so it does give out a semi-matte look. Not as clear compared to tempered glass for sure. No colour degradation, though. biggrin.gif

And the back also using the same material.

QUOTE(dino89 @ Mar 22 2016, 08:19 PM)

Also what sp u using?
*
RM 279 from Samsung outlets. But you can always find cheaper ones online (be careful of fakes though). thumbsup.gif

Actually if I compare my other phone with tempered glass and this Clear Coat, the reflections in the tempered glass are razor sharp but the Clear Coat's reflections have some jagged edges. But what I like is that it's very easy to wipe off dirt and grime from the Clear Coat surface. biggrin.gif

ic. i may miss few pages, but where do u guys bought this skin?
*
Only one official dealer in the whole of Malaysia at Pavilion KL. Haha. But some people may not like it as it doesn't feel nowhere as good as tempered glass.

QUOTE(eugenetwh @ Mar 22 2016, 08:48 PM)
guys. be careful with the phone. i dropped it at knee level to the marble floor. screen shattered. Quoted 1.1k+ to replace the whole screen assembly. T_T

Ouch! Sorry to hear that, bro. Your phone was naked or inside case?

I mean from wireless charger to wall socket. Because i dont see any cable from it packaging.

Yes, you need a cable. Best to use your Samsung fast charger + cable to connect to the wireless fast charger. The package of the wireless fast charger comes with nothing. Haha.

[attachmentid=6221158]

Congrats! Read good reviews about Choetech. Supposed to charge even faster than the Samsung Wireless Fast Charger (Flat-type) which is rated 7W (IIANM).

But the latest stand-type wireless fast charger by Samsung is more than 10W I think.

Yup, choetech also releasing new wireless fast charger which around 20W soon, as I heard from choetech staff.
*
Wow. 20W is very powerful indeed. It could probably charge the S7 edge in under 45 minutes!
Anyway, will wait for your review of the Choetech 10W you ordered. thumbsup.gif

My SO is getting better battery life than me as well.

I guess it is pure luck. laugh.gif
*
Luck? Or maybe Samsung is using battery cells of differing qualities - some better, some worse? This reminds me of the Apple 6S / 6S Plus processor fiasco - different processors (TSMC and Samsung) gave vastly different battery performance.

Looks like we have to wait for for an S7 edge's user to claim warranty and see what happens.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Mar 22 2016, 10:15 PM)
ya also can considered as factory refurbished
how true is this ?
source 1 : 2 or 3 years ago sent my sister iPhone 5 to claim warranty (power button can't press, under Apple free warranty program, so no charge), after 1 week go collect phone, check the phone imei, manufactured around 2012 or 2013

source 2 : got friend working at apple reseller, this is what they told me devil.gif
*
Yup, and also the batteries in the refurbished units are not new. As long as they are still of at least 80% functional capacity, then the Apple service centre will deem it 'valid for use' in refurbished units.

Yes, no issues when using cases. As long as the case isn't too thick (like those leather flip cases with polycarbonate plastic holder inside).
