Guys,

I'm a bit disappointed. Been using s7e since since I got it on 17th. Primary phone.

Mostly using whatsapp, Facebook, Adobe acrobat for pdf and stock browser for browsing.

Had 3 episodes of hang. 2 times when I get a call. Touchscreen becomes insensitive to touch. Another episode just now when I want to log into lyn.

Screen is yellowish compared to my Sony z3 tablet Compact. Now I'm on adaptive display. Yellowish screen is easy to the eyes but still I don't think it's true white.

Yellowish screen is acceptable. But unable to answer calls is downright unacceptable.

I think TouchWiz is to be blamed.

Battery life is almost equivalent to my old mi3 with 3000mah.

Everything else is excellent. Camera. Build quality.

I can't wait to root this phone and custom rom it.

Phone is top notch but poor ui optimization is truly disappointing.
*
Stop using the stock browser. I believe it is poorly optimised. My friend uses the stock browser and causes hang once a while too.

I'm using Chrome browser since I got my s7 edge and so far no issues.

Enjoying my SOT as usual even after Day No. 8 of using this phone. 4 hours SOT with 52% battery charge remaining. biggrin.gif

My typical usage remains the same as before. Heavy WhatsApp usage, average camera usage, average browsing on Chrome, calls, SMS etc. Auto brightness on, GPS off, Bluetooth off, WiFi 80%, LTE 20% , Dual Sim Active, Main line with data is Celcom LTE. Second line is Maxis. Power Saving Mode is OFF.

I'm using the stock browser since day 1 but don't seems to have any issue or hang. For me stock browser load faster than chrome  hmm.gif
*
Maybe it's the web content? Normally my friend's phone hangs and auto restarts while surfing with stock browser. After I told my friend to stop using it and switched to Chrome, he said he hasn't experienced any hang issue.

But to be frank the phone sucks because i can see the screen scratch!!! laugh.gif

I'm OCD person. I cannot stand a phone with scratch. So I know how you feel, man. innocent.gif

Whoah. I get that sot at 5% battery. shocking.gif

On my Nexus 6P, I would be at 20-25% battery level at this SOT and usage. sweat.gif

QUOTE(dragna @ Mar 24 2016, 02:13 PM)
I was using the stock browser that came with the phone. I'll try with chrome then. TQ

Welcome. Do update us how it's working out for you.

QUOTE(Vape On @ Mar 24 2016, 02:17 PM)
Bro. You using clear cover with clear coat.

The Edge of SP will get lifted by the casing?

How was it? Satisfy? Feel like going there to wrap it up so i dont see the scratches anymore.
*
Not at all, bro. There's a nice gap between the edge and the Clear Cover case itself. thumbsup.gif
This is truly an awesome case, but the weak part is that it offers almost no protection if you drop your phone. mega_shok.gif

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Mar 24 2016, 02:23 PM)
Should be same like applying car windows tint... You just need a few drops of soap and water only...
*
The Clear Coat staff sprays the liquid onto the Clear Coat film and phone. And it looks much much more than a few drops to me. But this could be only for Clear Coat, though. Not sure about the rest.

Since lollipop on Note 3, I have been using stock samsung browser. Fast smooth and no issues. Once change to s7e, it got way way better, even faster n smoother, loading time is like instant. See no reason to go back to other browser.
*
Personally, I've tried it few times and yes it is indeed fast. I stopped using after I suspected that my friend's S7 edge keep hanging because of it. Maybe the hardware acceleration uses the CPU a lot and can hog resources? Not sure really.

Is clear coat visible?

Does it diminish the vibrancy of the s7 edge screen?

I'm currently using it naked and it looks awesome, so I was wondering whether the clear coat would be an extra layer that takes away some of the vibrancy of the screen.
*
Definitely will diminish the vibrancy. It's no longer as crystal clear as before. When the screen is off, you can see reflections which are slightly 'jagged' looking.

QUOTE(psyeo @ Mar 24 2016, 03:04 PM)
haha chill, wait few more days, if not received only complain. have to depend on the efficiency of Pos Malaysia as well.

If malaysian claims missing shipment from them they may removed malaysia from their list of country available for shipping, like what had happened to Xtremeguard that claim too many Malaysian scammer that they decided to remove malaysia from their list.
*
Possible that our local couriers / mailman stole the item? or 'misplace' it?

I did mine also, so far so good hope they update template not so much for the side as is really thin. For the home button, sensor and the lens maybe hehe
*
Better to get a proper SP for the camera lens. The Clear Coat film doesn't seem to give full clarity so it may affect the camera image. sweat.gif

I think this phone is having some software issues, while surfing 9gag and replying in messenger my phone random froze, after holding power button few second suddenly screen go black and back to lock screen, then the whole phone become damn lag for few min only back to normal.
*
This is what I've been mentioning all along. Most likely is software - related freezes / hangs. Which is good news because at least this way it could be solved via a software update from Samsung perhaps. biggrin.gif:

Thanks. I have just placed my order with Gemfive for the same charger smile.gif

If it is confirm original, then it's a steal at RM189. But heard that there are fake Samsung wireless chargers in the market. So just beware. Good luck.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Mar 25 2016, 08:03 AM)
That is too slow...you should hit 100% in 2 hours
Are you using Samsung fast charging adapter n cable
It does make a difference
*
Yesterday I placed my S7 edge on my wireless fast charger at 27%. The phone stated it takes 2 hours to charge to full. So if it's from 0% to 100%, theoretically it should take 2.5 hours, right? I don't turn off my phone or set to airplane mode when I wireless charge, though.

Also, Samsung rates the Note 5 taking 2 hours to charge on the same charger too. So with additional 600mah capacity on the S7 edge, it certainly should take longer than 2 hours?

And yes, I'm using the original fast charger head and cable that came with my S7 edge. Even my wireless fast charger is purchased from official Samsung outlet.

Not sure if it's because of my Samsung Clear Cover and Clear Coat back skin slowing the wireless charging? biggrin.gif

Either way, the wireless fast charge doesn't heat up my S7 edge at all which is just sweet. happy.gif

Last night my friend put my S7E in a bucket of ice and now the speakers went weird. Kinda like it went smaller in sound and 'staticky'. Should I wait it till dry up ? Not sure if the water in the ice bucket went in or not.
*
The S7 edge is supposed to withstand normal temperature fresh water, iianm. Not sure what the extreme cold temperature of the ice water would do to your phone.

Let it be for 1-2 days and see if the speakers return to its original sound. If it doesn't, ask your friend to pay you damages. brows.gif

Good luck with getting good mobile / GPS signal with that. That metal construction with so many parts looks like a recipe for disaster when it comes to getting good signal.

Really? It's actually a very good idea for a case (with the exception of getting below-par signal of course). biggrin.gif

I'm trying to think how useful it is if it is not meant to be used as a case. hmm.gif

Guys. finally sent my phone to repair the shattered screen. A different Service Assistant told me. That after they replace the screen assembly. they will test it to make sure everything is working like new including IP68. yes, they have the tool to test it in the service centre which i assume (washing it and soaking it in a small fish tank)

They wll make sure it is water resistant IP68 complied before giving us the phone.
*
This should be the way it is done. thumbsup.gif

The previous SA doesn't know his stuff, probably.

Exactly! apparently alot of people broke their screen too. But dont go soak it in water for no reasons ya.... samsung does not accept water damaged phone due to owner negligence  smile.gif
*
What if it is not owner's negligence? If water damaged the phone from usage within IP68 specifications, will Samsung still claim owner negligence? It's very hard for them to know also, right?

I did my Clear Coat at Pavilion KL, Level 5. In front of Harvey Norman.
It should be the only branch in the whole of Malaysia.
Cheers.

RM1148.80 i think. 500 deposit. sent in at 12+- ready to be collected tonight at 9pm
Lets hope so because its a 2 v 1 situation.... 1 being it will still be water resistant
This im not sure. i assume when the phone is tested and it is properly sealed. any water damage after that would be deemed as owner's negligence gua.. I do not wish to find out about this after my display incident shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif
*
Yeah. That's the thing. IIANM, Sony had this issue for their earlier Z-series models. Customer complained under normal use, water damaged, but Sony claimed otherwise. End up Sony still honour the claims anyway. That's why now Sony doesn't advertise that their phones are waterproof, but rather water-resistant only.

Anyway, about this Galaxy S7 edge Butler service, did you use that for your case?

I had that issue also, dropped 40% overnight on my 2nd day.

My settings for the phone was 2G only and WIFI. I think my internet was down in the middle of the night and this caused my phone to try to access cellular data causing the battery drain. Just my suspicion.

It could also be the Softlock app I installed.

Did a factory reset, did not install Softlock and everything seems to be ok now with the battery.
*
One lousy thing I hate about TouchWiz is that you can't normally disable the Auto-Update Samsung Apps on Wifi. sweat.gif
