I was one of the first to get a Xperia Z back then. less than 1 day water seeped in. Brought straight to service centre due to my regular shop was close. the service centre denied the fact that its manufacturing defect. and insist i sign a void warranty form and everything. Took it back to my regular shop the next day. they settled it for me and got me a new phone or repaired it? no idea. but its done .

No. i did not use the butler service. well, i did called the hotline at 12/1 am ++ cant remember. my phone is not eligible for the 1 hour service due to the severity as mentioned in the T&C

Update on my s7Edge.

Receive a call from SC. first the staff told me i cant collect my phone as mentioned at 9pm. got furious because she couldnt tell me why something bout parts not enough or something.

Then the technician spoke to me, he say one of the parts that will affect waterproofing is damaged and he needs to wait for the part to arrive from KL. i can collect the phone but it will not be IP68 compliant. SO he suggest me to leave it there first.

Its a good thing i suppose, being responsible and all.

Apparently they did not change the display set but the whole chassis with the screen and home buttons together.

TIme to get a tempered glass and proper bumper now
