Cosmetic problem can be claim if buying new? And for clearance unit, after purchase, they still honor warranty just like others? If got deadpixel or faulty speaker, afraid if they said that we caused the problem as we already tested before pay.
*
Cosmetic problem also cannot be claim if buying new too, I just stated that buying the demo set still can claim if any problems with it just not cosmetic.
Also demo unit usually don't have earpiece, and that's all.

I see, so that's the risk of buying clearance display unit. Might be really careful during quality checking. Thanks for explainantion Mr xisan.
*
No problem. First box they gave me is less cosmetic issue but with no earpiece and no adapter. I asked to change for other set.
After that I sold both of them 1-3 weeks later laugh.gif

Change other set mean you got new set? Or other clearance unit too?
*
Ya other demo set, for that day only. After paid for it then I will get the refurbished set if it has a problem later.

Thank you sir. How good if demo unit vs refurbished unit? Aren't Refurbished unit newer?
*
They both the same, been used before. Just that refurbished unit gets new housing and all but pricey than demo unit.
I'd take demo unit anytime as long as it still have warranty, fullset and less cosmetic issue.

I rather take used set if take refurbished set...
at least used set using all original casing and etc but not for refurbished set rclxm9.gif
*
That one is refurbished by shop or other than Machines itself. If refurbished by Machines, all's original including housing and lcd.

QUOTE(binghb @ Oct 4 2016, 09:57 PM)
why demo set/refurbished set when Gemfive's offering discount up to RM2xx with discount code  rclxm9.gif
*
While demo set can get almost 50% off than RRP price laugh.gif

So in other words, its better to go for a used unit rather than a refurbished unit even if it has been refurbished from factory?

I deal alot with car parts and from experience, a used unit is the better bet than a refurbished (recon) unit unless the refurbished unit comes back from the manufacturer and does carry some warranty.
*
Refurbished by Apple then it's a go as all parts are confirm original.
Refurbished by unknown which is a lot people selling at Instagram, online, etc, all's from 3rd party factory. The only original in this phone is the motherboard. Others are cap ayam. You will get battery/lcd problems in less than 6 months. Even though there is warranty given by them which is 1 year, they still replace it with lousy and cheap components.

If got people selling refurbished Apple set, ask them the box. Usually new small box stated 'SEED' as refurbished set. This is from my experience exchanged my MAXIS iphone 5S and get refurbished set with box and SEED sticker on it. I think it will be the same with authorized premium reseller in MY.

Box is available for any iPhone model and able to match the set details fyi smile.gif
Got shops selling this.
*
I don't think you can buy refurbished set by Apple unless from users themselves. If it's from shop then definitely 3rd party refurbished.

So official way to get refurbished is to buy new or used unit with warranty, and got something wrong happened to the unit and claim warranty, then get refurbished unit? No other way right?
*
Yup, they can't be bought outside.

Yea, it's RM30 for Machines' Membership. Unfortunately, I was told that there's no more iPhone SE Space Grey 64GB from Machines. In fact, I think only the 16GB specs is available for the iPhone SE.

Regardless of the price discount or not, the price of RM2199 is truly a best-bang-for-the-buck deal, considering what's in the hood of this iPhone SE.
*
Yep, the reason I bought this because hardware is the same with 6S and the body is from 5S. I hope they will make it bigger SE version. Really love to hold it. laugh.gif

This was the same feeling when I first get my iphone which was iphone 4. Of course I didn't JB it straight away and I thought it will good as it is. I'm waiting for warranty is over then I JB it.
Another new world to me which is far better than before. I'd suggest you to explore Cydia later maybe after warranty's over. There are a lot of tweaks that improving your iphone and later on you will get bored by 4x5 homescreen and 3x3 icons in folder.

Btw there are not so many people that jumping from Android to iOS and liking the iOS more. Usually these people will said they tried it 1 day and sold it later, can't even stand the dull, multitasking worse, etc.

Guys, need opinion here.. Which one you prefer? Se 64gb or 6s 32gb?
*
Isn't it obvious?

iphone 6S 32GB
• 4.7" screen
• 3D touch
• 5MP front camera, f/2.2, 1080p video
• 1715 mAh battery
• 7.1 mm thinner

iphone SE 64GB
• 4" screen
• no 3D touch
• 1.2MP front camera, f/2.4, 720p video
• 1624 mAh battery
• 7.6 mm thicker

Another one is, iPhone SE TouchID is the same as in 5s, slower than iPhone 6s fingerprint sensor

Successfully changed from US store to MY store after Apple remove the remaining balance.
Been using for more than 6 years, now USD is strong and it's time to revert back to MYR currency.
I don't know what I'd miss. laugh.gif

Credit is just $0.21 which can't never be reach to $0. Purchased apps seems still there as long it's also available in MY store. That's why I said, I don't know if I miss anything with US store.

QUOTE(sengkin95 @ Dec 10 2016, 09:39 PM)
A few years ago, I purchased plenty of apps and e-books from the UK App Store and when I changed to MAS App Store, I lost the ability to re-download all my apps and e-books through iCloud.

So, instead of repurchasing all of them, I had quite a debate with an Apple Support associate to transfer all my purchases back to my MAS account and the only solution they gave me was to submit a feedback to Apple directly and hope that in the future they'll pay attention to this matter more closely in the future for purchasers who regularly switches between regional stores.

What a pathetic answer it was and still is today.
*
After I changed the store country, I checked on my purchased tab all apps still there. Even apps that I purchased but not download. Maybe there is difference when I sign in to new iphone.

QUOTE(PerfectIndigo @ Dec 10 2016, 09:44 PM)
My account are US' too.. thinking to change too.. but maybe just create new account instead
maybe that issue solve already.
*
Isn't it tie together with icloud and all if you want to change Apple id? Quite a hassle if every time need to reconfigure everything.

In your own personal opinions will 16GB paired with icloud 200GB storage will be enough for iPhone SE 16GB?
*
It won't be enough if you play games and have a lot of apps. Also if you rely only with your phone when you're on vacation to take pictures & videos, then you'll know 16GB is too small.
