I have played the stone age GT until the latest GT4. My verdict, first it's a very good and polished game, but the tricks that it has is getting older by the minute. Even higher resolution OUTPUT on the GT4 fail to impress in the gameplay division. I doubt the HD version would be any different.
IMHO, the greatest advancement it really offers from GT3 is the 1080i feature. This alone will please the LCD/PLASMA gamers. This post has been edited by redken: Jan 1 2007, 01:07 AM |

QUOTE(skylinegtr34rule4life @ Dec 31 2006, 10:48 PM) PGR series are more towards arcade racing, can't be compare. next year Forza 2 will be released and this title are more suited for comparing with GT title.and i'll say for racing simulation Forza is much better. but people have argue GT are not about racing, but about driving simulation. |

I'm a fan of GT since the GT2 days. So obviously GT4 rocks! Not to mention it's realistic driving, lotsa cars and tracks, beautiful soundtracks.
Looking forward for GT:HD for the PS3...but I need to save some cash first. |

PGR3 is more towards arcade racing, its nothing near a driving simulation and shouldn't be compared to GT4.
On the other hand, GT4 is more towards the simulation route but not too extreme, I personally preferred Forza Motorsport over GT4, which should be the more appropriate game to put into comparison, unfortunately not many people actually play the game. Many might not even heard or played or saw it before, and all they know about racing game is Gran Turismo. Driving simulation fans would really wanted to try games like GTR2 and TOCA Race Driver 3 for a more authentic driving experience. |

gt died when they released gt3.it became SLOW. the best gt was gt2, with mean ass blow off sound, unlimited racing mod and drift ready.ohyeah, and a killer soundtract.graphics mean shit to me, and whats up with gt4 cant load your own garagewhen u play network mode?this sucks when i take my gt4 online with xlink kai. sigh. when i play forza onxbox, i remembered how much it resembled the handling of gt2. they only annoying thing about forza is the screeching tires sound.

Ill vote 4 GT....
I like the real physics applied in the game.. to win, u wont need the fastest car but the best driving skill will prevail...(most probably with a fast car too i play PGR in xbox b4, i dont like the physic much...no challenges(juz my personal opinon)... GT rock!!! |

Is it fair to compare these two games because they are only exclusive to one console? Should be like Colin McRea vs. Rallisport Challenge vs. Richard Burn's Rally.
Just an opinion |

only people that can appreciate gt is people who played the very first gt, on ps1
feel sorry for the people who started GT on ps2, with gt3. but i feel the same thing for gt2. forza for me, is a mix between arcade and simulation. the engine customization is not too deep, anyone can get into it easily.ok la bila dah boring main gt. custom soundtrack rocks. gt4 on the other hand, is more stressed on sim. try the dfpro with gt4, then you guys will sweat like crazy.the tuning options are based on real life and possible tunings. If you dont believe me, head over to gtplanet.com.tapi the soundtrack for gt4 seriously suck balls. edit: gt4 is ONLINE enabled. you just have to know how to go about it This post has been edited by pakcikDriver: Jan 10 2007, 05:48 PM |

PGR3 can drift but not really show drift only fast drift.
Forza Motorsport will sure can drift cause simulation. |
