I was thinking... if people use VPN to bypass encryption on BT, does that mean we can use VPN to bypass lag time on WoW? To my understanding, currently our connection is:

Streamyx --bad latency--> WoW Server but in between, there's so many hops and so many bad latency time.

Then I understand that Singaporeans get about 50-150ms latency and does that mean if we connect Streamyx --good latency--> Singapore --good latency--> WoW it's faster?

If so, does anyone have any idea where I can subscribe to a Singaporean VPN?

You're very correct. Large corporations use this method as part of their redundancy systems, it's commonly referred to as multi-isp.

Don't fall for it. Unless TMnet switches to a faster connection to the US, there won't be any real improvement. Keep doing trace route and pray that the nodes change.

I think blizzard had this firewall protection on their server, hence you get timeout when you're getting the part of tracing them.

Do a trace route to their website, because like nFiniteFX said, you can't directly ping their server due to security issues.

Doing a trace route to their website is the same because they run on the same server location.
