I tried f/8 and f/11 before, results are same, people standing on both side will blurred. (i got alot focus point tho..)
well but thanks with the info, i will shoot more with f/8-11 next time.
The only things that i havent try out is, let the group people stand inside [  ] range, since the focus point will be only inside that [ ], but if that so, what use of wide lens sad.gif
btw how to see the max sharpness on the lens?
Yes, i mostly do the 10mm shooting standing close to center for group shoot (since the area wasnt big, so i have to stand close).. so does that mean 10-22mm 1:3.5-4.5 means that for the 10mm the max aperture outside the frame is only 3.5? and so 22mm max is only 4.5?
*
Firstly wide angle is just wide angle and mostly used for landscape not for group shot. The closer the subject you are focusing in, the blurrier the background. Google the term bokeh or depth of field (dof).

And yes f3.5 max at 10mm and f4.5 at 22mm. Just check the aperture info on your camera display when you zoom in/out. The lower the f number (which means larger aperture, yes confusing) does not mean you take sharp image. You need to study the effect of aperture control vs dof yourself cause it can be exhaustive to explain.

For now just use the tele end, 22mm and stand further back at f8.0, make sure your hand steady or use tripod before shoot.

On xt-1 I have 35mm and 56mm already which is equivalent to 50mm and 85mm.

So my question is what lens to buy in order to compensate what I'm missing. Do you mean I should get 35mm?
*
Errr..rather strange and impossible question. Missing what exactly? If you don't want to miss anything, might as well buy all Canon focal prime lens, lol. Or just get a Zoom.

At least tell us what kind of shots you have in mind for Canon people to advice which primes to go for.

Family portraits, children and travel photos.

Ever consider a zoom lens instead? I think Canon have bunch of good f2.8 range. Unless you are a bokeh whore, lol.

i dont know much about T stop since its mostly used in video only, but the optics of the lens itself arent that good to start with.
*
Actually T stop applies to still capture also. F stop is just physical measurement of the lens opening giving a theoretical light gathering value, whereas T-stop is more accurate.

Wait Canon 6D Mark II wait till I become giraffe already.
Any news regarding possible release date? or Does Canon going to dump the mirror and convert 6D Mark II into a full frame mirrorless camera?

I am now wondering should continue to wait or step into Nikon D750.
*
My advice is, just get the one currently available and forget about unannounced future camera that may or may not meet your criteria. If Nikon fits your need and has the lens selection required, just go for it. Last time I waited, the newer model turns out to be a disappointment with the older model either sticking to the same old price or increased due to currency weakness.

i was looking for a small pocket dynamite, but end up having tried pop pop instead...

the problem with the a6000 was the noise and AF, although it boasts high ISO, noise was seriously bad, bad to the point cant even properly correct via lightroom. AF was bad as well although there are so many AF points... on a normal burst shot, out of 20-30 shots only can get like 2-3 focused on face, others koyak
*
Noise? From what i see noise is pretty comparable to most apsc size sensors. AF cannot argue is a hit and miss. But certainly more useful for video when subject moving frm side to side of the frame.

But just as reference what af mode u use that causes so much miss? AF-C with Wide?
