For me RM12k-15k annually are with utilities/petrol/government, maybe slightly more. So potentially 25% of my spend.

For me one alternative might be the Amex Gold Credit card which still earns 5x Membership Rewards for petrol (~RM1.2 per AM/KF/Enrich).

You may need to think about the new revision before change to AMEX Gold puke.gif

Tell you all an open secret. HLB VI is now a good card for those who are affected by the latest MBB fiasco!
*
If you are spend a lot at oversea.......Alliance VI is another choice, equal to RM1.20 spent for 1 miles (but only for enrich miles)

Just curious - anyone here applied for this card (and got approved) without meeting the minimum annual income?
*
some applied with existing MBB card limit more than 30K
some applied with pledged FD

Me is one of above criteria laugh.gif

Hi , wanna ask how to redeem enrich miles with amex premier tp ?
*
Call the cs number at behind of the card, tell cs u want to redeem. They will calculate how many pts can be used for redemption. Give your enrich card number, done.

yea.. that part i know.

but if you're paying bills like autopay with telekom, maxis, digi and celcom, it'll be treated as utilities and hence x1 only..

well have to try out for 1 month to confirm this. If this is really the case, just gonna switch out the autobilling to other VI cards.
*

since your utilities bill amount is high, can consider HLB fortune card......If you can hit more than 100K spending per annual, the cash back is more than 2% biggrin.gif

i think the people using premier card not after cash back..
they are more interested in air miles..
*
I understand the main purpose of holding premier dual, but he did mention to get a cash back card for replacement, so i suugest him to consider hlb card.

Btw, for utilities expenses, hlb or alliance vi can be the choices for airmiles convertion, right?

May I know if grocery category will be impacted too? Become 1X even swipe by Amex reserve...

Example of grocery in Malaysia:
Tesco
Aeon
Aeon Big
Sam's Groceria
*
No impact on grocery, still 5X TP

Thanks for the reply. Alright, will wait for year end statement. What about if want to know before year end? lol..can check through maybank 2u? any simpler way than checking every month statements?
*
U can use M2U planner to keep track your card usage, not even wait until year end statement as different cards different issue/expiry date.

To convert treat points to enrich miles, must the treat points be under the reserve card, or can I also transfer my treat ponts from my platinum card to this reserve card to get the special rate of 1000 enrich = 4770 treat points?
*
From T&C, answer is NO
But......sometimes technical and human factors.......answer can be YES.
