Hi guys, I'm thinking of applying for this M2Premier, I am currently using Maybankard2 Platinum, and have accumulated some TreatPoints using the cards.

Can anyone let me know the following:

1. The TreatPoints which I earned earlier with the platinum visa/amex, can I enjoy the same conversion rate of 4770 to 1000 miles, once I get the Premier? i.e. are the TreatPoints in a same shared pool?

2. After using the Premier card for almost year, if I choose to cancel it (before the annual fee starts), what will happen to TreatPoints earned via that card, will it still be in my maybank account, or lost totally if i don't use it before I cancel?

Yes, any foreign currency transaction on VI will earn x5TP.

Yes! m2premier's conversion rate is so much better compared to the other m2cards (hence the hefty annual fee), I think you would've been able to redeem 2 business class tickets if your points was on premier card.
Anyway, congrats, you'll enjoy speedy miles collection now!

Lastly, I don't think you should use your precious miles to redeem economy class, would be a huge waste, value of RM/miles is drastically lower with economy class.
Would suggest you to keep your miles until you can redeem another business/first class tix, try your best to find a cheap one-way ticket back to MY.

Same for me
I got my m2premier card 2 years back and wanted to cancel the plat ones, but was told the same by the CS, no way to transfer them because they are not equal (and the Plat one comes with cashback already), either use them up or burn.
I think the guy above got really lucky!

I think this will eventually have repercussions to the card benefits, ultimately hurt genuine users
