Asking on behalf of a colleague who is also using M2Premier Cards, what are the things considered as "government" in the eyes of Maybank? Is it only those assessments fees? Thanks.

QUOTE(Kerry1136 @ Jun 23 2016, 04:50 PM) Ello all, does anyone know when they are revising the points for airmiles? RM 1 = 400 points was the revision since last year's May...I have close to 400k worth of points and I don't want to convert it late. Reason I'm asking because I noticed when I walkby Parkson they have revised to 20,000 points for RM50. Shucks. |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Jul 1 2016, 10:17 AM) Yes, for PTPTN and over the counter for some PTPTN branches. I guess the government wants those youngsters to bankrupt faster. But if people like us who maximize the potential and privilege of credit cards then it is different. QUOTE(herc @ Jul 1 2016, 11:18 AM) No surcharge if I'm not mistaken over the counter. QUOTE(Jack128 @ Nov 3 2016, 10:55 AM) Fruitie, I think you have been overzealous in enforcing 'segmentation' to the various topics that been have discussed here. No doubt we have been discussing issues related to frequent flyer miles and the pros and cons of Enrich, Krisflyer etc. But I hope you realize that these same discussions shared have a direct bearing if many of us decide to continue using MBB 2C Premier or move on to something else. To me, and I believe most of us here share the same opinion, these topics are directly related and do not warrant a move to another thread. It is just silly for us to jump between threads to share the same issues. It is not silly to jump between threads. If you notice I'm already less strict compared to other mods in this section. In any case, if we do not share frequent flyer miles issues here, what is it that the moderators expect to discuss in this thread? Many of us here are experienced and high usage cardholders, and we are not interested in amateurish topics like how to get waiver on the AF or how to get card approvals etc! Let our discussions flow freely , please Yes, I prefer to stick to conversations related to these cards. So what with high spenders? We need to create a thread just to fulfill your needs? No, please use the appropriate threads. This post has been edited by fruitie: Nov 3 2016, 11:04 AM |

QUOTE(raist86 @ Nov 3 2016, 11:05 AM) Jack128 is spot on. the whole point of this thread is like what the title says "Fastest Air miles Conversion"... The purpose of this card is not how much rebate/cashback one can get.. but it's about maximizing it for mileage conversion. The fact that this card converts to Asiamiles, Enrich and KF means that most people are clueless on which is the best way to optimize the redemption. Why is it so difficult to post in that thread? The conversations so far has been linked to this 3 programs and it's pros and cons. A little bit of common sense would be refreshing TBH. |

QUOTE(Jack128 @ Nov 3 2016, 11:18 AM) As a moderator, shouldn't you behave in a more professional manner and obtain the views of other contributors? No need for high handed approach here. hye, MilesAndMore FYI.I was just cleaning the threads, so are you saying I will need to ask each of you for opinion? Oh please, it doesn't work with us. We are not here to serve you guys in such a manner. |

QUOTE(hye @ Nov 3 2016, 06:13 PM) Folks ... You forgot to comment about common sense? They assume we don't have any I guess.Looks like I'll have to step in. The focus on subjects allows to cater for the wide spectrum of our readers level of awareness. Keep the discussion strictly to within the domains of the defined card product. Rate conversion of points (or spot/seasonal conversion promos) to whatever frequent flyer (FF) programs are fine but it should not go further than that. Each conversion are unique to respective card products and their detailed discussions should go into their respective card products. FF programs have a section of its own and it'll remain that way for now. As much as there's a strong temptation/arguments to do otherwise ... I'll advise our readers to keep to the confinements of the main topic relevancy or choose to deviate at your own peril. This thread started way back then as consolidated cc MBB. We allowed controlled fragmentation for MBB cc products based on the strength of the product and relevancy. (Products do die or lose popularity) So please ... let's not go into the discussions on democracy etc just to get what you guys want. Democracy is also about the masses and not just to please a group of people. Our job is to cater for the masses as much as possible. (See how many views some threads pull) Many thanks to our readers/contributors for the continuing success of this thread. We always evaluate suggestions and we will implement functional ideas at the right time. So ...let's move on now. Thanks to @fruitie for your summoning. Anyway, you made me look bad, you are always harsh with your words but this post doesn't look like one. Back to this thread, I agree with what you said above. TS, can always report/tag us if you think those posts are not relevant to this thread. |

Just wondering if the trick of using CL to upgrade card is still valid now? I remember M2P requires 30k FD and what if my CL already exceeded this amount, can I request for this combo? Any success cases? If yes, care to share some tips?
I'm planning to request to increase my current CL which is near to 30k now with my latest 3 months' payslip, should be enough to reach 30k unless some hiccups happen. If Maybank is now strictly following income or FD pledge, then I can forget it. In fact if 120k per annum, maybe I still can but 150k... |

QUOTE(chiahau @ Jun 16 2017, 08:34 AM) You can try Oh because my VS' limit is already RM 28k.But for Premier card, it's usually income / FD in my experience. I know you can get the VS with 20k limit. But I never heard of someone having a 30k limit and did not apply for the infinite getting the infinite ((Since MBB so cheapskate with CL, for sure they won't give you excessive unless your income is high / masuk FD ) QUOTE(whyip1988 @ Jun 16 2017, 08:57 AM) Oh that's good. Then I may try my luck soon. |

MU card, did you all refer to MU VI or the generic MU card which only requires 30k p.a. salary requirement?
I compared both and not sure if I did it correctly but it seems the TP is also 5x if MU won a match? I read some earlier posts mentioning to cancel the VI which comes with M2P, so I will assume to replace with the MU VI? Did I read this correctly? Thanks in advance for the clarification. I intend to apply this combo soon, after March as I don't want to be charged twice for SST as all my Maybank conventional cards' anniversary is in April. The staffs in The Gardens advised me to apply only after March. |

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Jan 30 2019, 11:05 PM) Welcome soon Noted! So that can be customized huh? I thought still need to apply like normal and cancel later. MU VI, when you apply make sure you inform them you want the MU VI version instead of the normal VI. I assumed this is a known option and the officers in The Gardens will know about this. Thanks for the quick clarification. I will swing by when I get it in April (fingers crossed). |
