Anyway, we knew the bonus TP is rewarded MANUALLY. For transactions, I doubt they have the resources to convert date/time from MY time to UK time to determine bonus TP eligibility. Why make it so complicated?

So as it stands, just make sure your transaction date is same as UK kick-off date, then you will be fine.

There is 10k TP for Amex Reserve as well. maybe you'll get it the next bill cycle

AMEX - it's per what you written and the fee is 2.5%
VISA- 1% levied by Maybank + 1.25% by VISA

Most of the time, VISA wins. Because of the mechanism, Amex fee end up could be slightly higher than 2.5%

Last but not least, also depends if there's any promotion or contest by Visa or Amex. Don't mind paying slightly more

Visa Infinite is 2x local and 5x overseas spending. MU VI is the same, just with some additional perks like 5x when MU wins and 5x grocery.

anyway general rules of thumb

1. Transaction date must match UK kick-off date.

2. Transaction date is recorded in local MY time

3. So, 8pm-10pm is the best for us. Since we can know the results and spends after that (but before 12am next day)

4. 11pm kick-off - can see half-time results first, then only decide to spend or not.

5. 12am-4am kick off - Spend first and then pray MU win

I'm getting married this year and unfortunately will be spending big. so with or without BP, i can meet the spending requirement...

and with MU VI, you can time your purchases in order to get the 5x bonus TP (when MU wins) to be on par with Amex. This opens up a lot possibilities - pay insurance, utilities bill, education fees, etc.

For restaurants, you can try to link your Amex to Fave and pay with it.

Some restaurants don't have CC terminals for Amex, but they do accept FavePay. And FavePay can link with Amex.

Let's say for Agoda booking right, is there any difference between using Amex and Visa Infinite?

Currency - Agoda auto-convert (and rip you off 4-5% on exchange rate) to MYR. So, no additional fees charged by Amex or Visa right?
