When opening his startup, he actually tricked few of his 'investors' into investing for the company capital.
Luckily his startup is successful, otherwise, he is just a scammer that got jailed in china prison.

When you are successful, your words become wisdom... simple as that.

Personally take his word with a pinch of salt. He hates China, which is why he rather list in USA. He should leave China market since he love America so much.

Sure he's rich, but let's be realistic here; you can't grow rich in such a short time by playing it by the book and work hard. There has to be backdoor dealings, bribery and illegal shit he has to do to reach where he is now. After all, this is China we're talking about(although it also applies for some here in Malaysia).

As such, I am never gonna take advice from such a crook. He is not gonna make me respect him any more than I do drug dealers and and property speculators. Some day, all the shit he has ever done will come back to hit him hard and square in the face. It doesnt even have to be God to deliver that to him. All you need is a few very disgruntled employees with high level access and a few nudges and whisper of the devil to motivate them.

Have you read how Steve Jobs worked? Tim Cook is not that different. One of my former bosses from Europe was similar.

That Khir Toyo was actually pretty kind by giving a broom to an underperforming department head. The head would have been fired straightaway outside.

First , made it clear dun like the company not means under perform. Don't like the company due to the company policies, benefit, salaries, some management staff etc. Doesn't related to the performance, work as an pofesssional the output must be consistance and up to the standrad, even u dun like the ppl around you.

If a company cannot accept ppl has different opinion what is different with chinamen company aka comuniatsm business, of cause this is his company he can do what he like but his mentality is there.

a lot of people dont mention the part that before he started ali baba, he was a high ranking government official who got the idea on a trip in usa. given a thought of china, going to USA in the 90s was not something everyone can do.

also, Jack Ma appeals to the businessman wannabe types (like me) , who feel that they need to start a business to succeed, because its his business to provide teh platform for these people to deal.
