So i have a half assembled board sitting here for centuries so i figured it's time i get that shit done.

I just ordered the switches from taobao and I assume it will take 1-2 weeks to arrive.

Anyone offering soldering service here? 87 switches + 87 leds + lubing/tuning stabs. I'll provide everything necessary except the lube.

Please help a brother out and pm me your best rate!

1 buck per (key+led)? brows.gif i don't know how to tune through

Bah! One of the LED (F-10 key) has failed and another (S key) is failing, getting dimmer on my one-month old CM QFR-i. Looks like I will have to send in for RMA, which now gives me a reason to buy another MKB since I don't have a spare KB.

Under consideration are the following:

1. Corsair K65 - love the floating key design, come with RGB
2. Ducky One TKL with backlight - design very similar to the QFR-i though
3. Wait for CM MasterKeys Pro S - supposed to become available from May (next month)

As you can see, TKL and backlight (RGB not really a requisite) are what I'm looking for, with Red switch or equivalent. Any thoughts or suggestions or recommendations?

i actually prefer a keyboard with big palm rest, quiet and ergonormic.
how much is Filco TKL? any feedback and comment?
*
Hmm...no idea about ergonomic but the Filco is just a normal keyboard,I bought it for rm415. So far so good, solid,no complains about it laugh.gif

Do you get Filco from Malaysia? what so special about this keyboard?
the ergonomic is very subjective haha.... but perhaps a design like this or split keyboard that i can adjust by my own.

I think I got it from Czone in lowyat plaza..u mean what's special about the Filco?nothing special but yea,it's what you would expect out of a keyboard,no fancy stuff, just plain enjoyment of typing on mechanical switches laugh.gif

Masta, i have a few question.
1. what is the function of a controller? from what i read it's where u program ur keys(something like dat) hence some ppl change it/custom kb. i cant find any link directly explaining this so im asking here.
2. cant reprogram the stock one? and if u change, the upside is can make any key to become any key is it?
*
controller just read the keyboard matrix and depend on the programmed firmware,it will send the scan code theu PS/2 or USB to the computer

it depends on the firmware of the custom controller,if it's like winkeyless, you can program any key any where, and you can also program plenty of macro thru their GUI

Hi guys, I've got a Filco Minila Air (Bluetooth) keyboard and somehow it wouldn't switch on. I think it might just be a simple ON/OFF switch issue but I'm not an electrical engineer so I might be wrong. I need to get it fixed. Any of you here know where I can send it for repair? Preferably somewhere in Damansara area. Any kind of help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there! I'm planning on assembling my own custom keyboard and would need some general advice on soldering stations and the solder.

1) Where can I find soldering stations such as the Hakko 888 or Weller WES51 in Malaysia? (I'm based in Subang Jaya, Selangor)

2) What are the recommended solders (rosin/leaded) that I should get and subsequently, where can I get them?

Your help will be very much appreciated!
*
1) jalan pasar
2) just get 60/40 one and for flux, try get those no clean flux,or not u have to buy flux cleaner (IPA,thinner...don't use thinner unless no choice la)
