By the way, did anyone bought the Hana DSA set on Massdrop? I think it looks so beautiful but I'm broke. I'm just asking because I'd love to see some photos of it from any of you here that bought it lol (maybe in a few months, or even years).

My new set of NPKC keycaps just arrived. Pink alphas + purple mods. Decent thickness, it's pretty cheap IMO. However, I really don't like how good it looks like in photos than IRL. Man, I hate photographers and their photo editing skills lol.

So, I'm bored with Cherry now. Anyone have any idea where to get a Unicomp? There was one at Massdrop recently but I missed it, better get one locally though if any since Massdrop price is always meh.

QUOTE(XyzionzX @ Jul 18 2016, 01:48 AM) hello there, im new to mechanical keyboards and i just got one to replace my extremely hard membrane keyboard. You will want to keep using it for now to make an assessment. We can't really tell you because there are different kinds of switches, particularly very light to very hard. Read the OP for more info.May i know would mechanical keyboard (blue switch, fyi) would ease off the stress on my muscle? due to extreme gaming and typing, my forearm constantly hurts due to the stiff membrane key that nid to be press harder than the one i have now. IMO, i think it did the job pretty well, glad i join the mechanical side, haha Im using Cherry MX Board 2.0 Blue switch from CZone As for your Blue switch, it's not that light, and it's not that hard either. It's in the middle and with it being a clicky added more to that force to make it actually register a keypress. If you really want one for gaming though, I'd suggest a linear switch for that exxxxxxxtraaaaaaaaaa faaaaaast keypresses. No really, linear switches, such as Red (the lightest one) or the MX Speed (is this linear?) are designed primarily for gaming as you need the quickest response from your keyboard. But the Blue switch is still very light to me. (Note: "To me.") It's still better than any membrane keyboards out there obviously. |

QUOTE(koonghx @ Aug 19 2016, 02:57 AM) My friend bought it at last year's Valve event TI5's secret shop. The QS1 switch feels like total crap, to be honest. It's probably one of the worst feeling switch ever made. Now, he quit dota, "gave" it to me. Still prefers my CODE TKL though. SteelSeries Apex M800 Dota 2 Edition ![]() With that said, the reaction time and speed I get with this keyboard was definitely faster than your usual mechanical switches. It's as short as membranes are, but smoother and better. |

QUOTE(DeathSharingan @ Aug 20 2016, 04:33 AM) Hello sifus. Spawning @KuzumiTaiga a.k.a. The Budget Mechanical Keyboard Boss.I'm new to mk and would like to find one that's in my budget. Say 300 below? I'm also interested in Logitech G keyboards. So what do you guys have in mind? QUOTE(ntw @ Aug 20 2016, 12:39 PM) I don't recall seeing one in their shop.. If they do import Ultimate Zone should get in those like 750R with super thick pbt keycaps !! Ya they do, I only saw one though, takut want to see all later my wallet suddenly leper. They have lots of stuff there. Lots of Realforces too. But dang, the founder doesn't know what a Unicomp is. I cried. My hope died. But it's a beautiful concept store though. Truly is a real mkb heaven there. |

QUOTE(ntw @ Aug 20 2016, 11:08 PM) the first time I been there I saw them trying to sell a keyset which are not compatible to an unsuspecting kid for his Razer What if they both thought they know what they're doing but they both don't? Haha. But it's good to see mkb business expanding quite well lately. And I wish I had took @quovadis123's offer for an RM800 HHKB earlier this year. :'( |

QUOTE(richard912 @ Aug 20 2016, 11:25 PM) Good call. Too bad I need to save up some for my guitar rig now.QUOTE(kamikraze @ Aug 20 2016, 11:34 PM) I wonder if any of you guys using 60% for programming work? Moving from TKL to 60% will gonna be huge learning curve, am I right? From CM QFK Stealth to ANNE 60% Pro. I do. Not even a huge learning curve. I nailed it in a day, you just need to remember the function keys you need to use, the others are just extras that you can learn later. The rest? Just keep typing usual, building up your speed and accuracy is what you should be doing first and foremost. I still use a lot of my mouse so maybe that will make a difference. |

QUOTE(richard912 @ Aug 21 2016, 03:57 PM) If you like your keys clicky and heavy, MX Green would be the way to go. For me, I have a Varmilo with MX Clear which is tactile, non-clicky, the way I like it. I switched to browns from greens and now my speed has decreased a lot, I also make more mistakes when typing now. It's too light that it's uncomfortable. Anything lighter than greens will kill me lol. |

QUOTE(kianweic @ Sep 17 2016, 12:20 PM) My Corsair K70 RGB Lux waiting for the Corsair Lapdog I love my K95 but really don't like Corsair's software. It's prone to breaking it's annoying. Not to mention the RGB stuff won't work without it.![]() ![]() Will try to use other keyboards with Corsair Lapdog though. I prefer to use the third party Corsair Effects Engine though. Get that creamy audio spectrum visualizer. |
