Expressway + Naked bikes = not a friendly combo. If you plan on riding above 150kph, you'll feel like the wind is trying to throw you off the bike. You can put those PUIG windshields but to be honest, ruins the look a little for me.

Noted bro, slow ride je 100kph

4 months later, I'm still in dilemma what bike should I buy. Everyday read reviews and watch video still no conclusion.

Have you narrowed down your search? hmm.gif

Prefer naked or have fairing? You like speed and roasting your legs? H2/S1000RR/Panigale 1299 Superleggera ?

MT-09 maybe? Or prefer a more comfortable ride such as Versys 1000?
*
Well I consider myself a beginner. Years of riding a moped. Just wanna have bigger bike for daily commute and fun on the weekend long ride. Below are my narrowed down list I posted in a few pages back:

Triumph street triple R: abs, no TC
Z800: heaviest, abs, no TC
Mt09: somehow I takot this bike, mcm wheelie monster je so will skip this
Monster 821: abs, TC..but mahal a bit lah. If can find good 2nd hand option I'd be happy

owh btw I tested Monster 821, just do circle at the parking lot. First time on a big bike with clutch. Felt natural though. I flat footed on a Panigale. It felt nimble stationary. I then sat on zx6r, and man it felt much heavier than a Panigale with heavier clutch feels.

And then I go see my friend's zx10r..I don't think it's a bike. Itu macam elephant! Not something that I want to sit on at all.

My criteria is at least 600cc, abs and TC. Cheapest option that met my requirement is mt09 ckd..but a bit less hensem than z800. I wish z800 has all the features of the zx6r 636 but I guess we can't have it all

Then heard lots of z800 users bought and sell theirs, and ended up buying a superbike with fairing instead. Hurm

Honestly, I've decided on st675 long before all the list grew up. Haha. As a beginner I still think I need a TC with big bikes. Or would I be ok without TC at all?

I test drove s1000rr recently. My first time on a superbike, all this while riding scooter. Well, it feels manageable and not as scary as I thought it would be. Only the first gear need to use the clutch, the rest of the downshift and up shift no need the clutch work.

Leaning is ok, uturn at traffic light ok. Max is 120kph 6th gear at highway on a rain mode smile.gif

But don't let that get to your head. If its your first time, the next time always be reminded that it is your second time. Don't go fast2 until 240 km/h and then when it comes to cornering, panic and your SR kicks in, hit the brakes and you swerve to the outside.

thansk for the advice. Yes, have to know my limit and I'm totally inexperience smile.gif for casual ride, I think the bike can be a lot of fun. A bit warm on my thigh although it's only a 15-20min test ride. But it's just a short test on the highway from Glenmarie to Batu 3, and a bit of neighbourhood rides back to the showroom. Haven't encounter any traffic jam yet to see how hard is it to handle.

But the ride..It just feel so smooth and effortless.

It is my first bike with clutch, first sportbike as well. Riding Ego S previously. clocking 3000km so far. By the way, it is hot, or i can say all litre bike are hot.

Good to know there's someone like me out there! I've been checking up on rsv4 too, pricing wise it's very competitive. Rm89k for the factory ver if I'm not mistaken (I went to the one at kpg baru). But position wise I think it's very extreme, s1000rr feels relax a bit.

This wasn't at Sepang circuit; it was the Sepang Go-Kart Track - next to the circuit. It was ride clinic / track day and was $350 from 10-5; once a month. BYO bike and gear - I think they do have offers to use theirs but extra $$$ obviously.

I went to my B full class recently, and I wonder why the class exists in the first place. It doesn't teach and prepare you on how to ride in the open road. Such classes and test is pointless IMHO. Sigh..1k paid for such thing...there goes my money sleep.gif ok rants over.
